All in all the most enjoyable stay on our 2 week UK holiday. We stayed here before and after we hiked St. Cuthbert's Way and loved the beds, food and people. I highly recommend this hotel! The food is top notch as well as their efforts to go above and beyond for their guests.

Found this lovely country hotel about 9pm at night after trying several other places. It was well worth the wait. It was a warm greeting and a lovely room. The gardens are well cared for and better in real life .It was a comfy, clean and affordable stay. Breakfast was well laid out and cooked to order. I would highly... More

Had evening meal here and everything was excellent. Great starters and main course combined with good service meant enjoyable visit. Well worth a visit - I would certainly recommend it. The sweet I had probably sounded better than it actually turned out to be, bit this is only a minor criticism and certainly did not spoil the meal.

Came here for dinner - not accommodation (though sitting rooms looked very comfortable). There is a pub and a restaurant, with outdoor spaces. The restaurant had a very nice feel about it - a pleasant space with spacious seating. The staff were very helpful and attentive - nothing was too much trouble: mixing and matching restaurant and pub counter meals.... More

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are as helpful, friendly and professional as can be imagined, and in terms of ambiance, cleanliness, attention to detail, quality of food and drink, and value - it cannot be faulted. Visited this week with my wife and daughter, a warm welcome by name from Anthony, followed by excellent cooking in the bar,... More

We stayed for three nights to attend a wedding nearby. Our room was a fair size, comfortable bed, lovely garden and great food! The manageress, Shona, was absolutely delightful and warmly welcoming. It is rare to find someone so dedicated to make guests feel at home and care for their comfort. No request was too much and she suffered a... More
