No where to park, and the owner was spiteful and mean. the room was badly arranged and the atmosphere was so tense and unwelcoming it was untrue. It is also in the heart of an obvious drinking area at night which kept us awake half the night with party goers. .

Stayed just one night at The Captain's Quarters. We were met by a very nice lady, Melanie, who explained where everything was etc. The room was quite large, had a single bed in it as well as the double - lots of space. Lots of quirky bits and pieces in the room, very attractive. Parking is nearby - we had...

Stayed in room 5, lovely girl greeted us and showed us to to our room. The room was fabulous with amazing old photos and lovely decor (please tell me where you got the cushion on the window seat with sequin stag head, I was tempted to offer you money for it I loved it so much!) the fireplace was astounding!...

Reviews are very important especially for us seasoned travellers that like our luxury. That's why when we see highly rated places we think ooh that would be nice. Now we saw this and thought OOH! A bit on the expensive side but if it is as good as it seems then why not. On arrival a slightly different story. You...

Stayed here in July for a night. First impressions were good, room was lovely, very spacious, a bunk bed for the kids, quirky interior, everything we wanted really. We settled in and unfortunately my young daughter managed to drop her glass in the sink, and totally cracked it. We fessed up to the owner and actually she was very understanding...

My Boyfriend and I stayed at the Captains Quarters on the 24th August 2016. On arrival a lovely young lady called Georgina met us and showed us to our beautiful room, she then brought us cups of tea and cake, which were most welcome after our long drive. Our room was just stunning, all the lovely designed additions made it...

Just got back from a two day stay. Greeted with a smile and personally shown our beautiful room. The way was through the quiet cottage entrance which was full of colour and fragrance as the courtyard was full of wonderful plants. We were led into a space which I thought was on our way to our room but it was...

The staff were friendly and flexible about our arrival time. When we arrived our bikes were securely stored and we were made a cup of tea. The furnishings were of a high standard and the beds comfortable. The shower is excellent.

Would not stay in this guest house again over rated by 100% the attitude of the owner is a disgrace and room seemed like a shop front window and hygiene not good , plenty of other places in Berwick better than this and more friendly .You have been warned so your choice
