Everything was just as we remembered it and the breakfasts were even better than I remembered. Kedgeree being a particular favourite !! Great three days locally and made...

One could not find a place run by a more charming couple. Annette and Keith were always there in spirit, though just behind the scenes; never intruding. Warm, and personable; attending to wonderful breakfasts and late night sherry. With stories of local ghosts and history, eatery recommendations, they really did bring this place alive for us. As another visitor, Lynden...

We spend 2 nights in this idyllic B&B and loved every minute of it. From the warm welcome by hosts Annette and Keith to leaving after yet another kingly breakfast we felt thoroughly spoiled. Our bedroom was cozy, well provided with a teeny weeny fridge for the jug of real milk for my tea! Very important! The bath is enormous...

Delightful historic house. We were warmly welcomed, and our room was very well furnished, with a very comfy sofa as well as a lovely bed and bathroom. There was also a beautiful lounge for guests' use. Free sherry and Lindisfarne mead was available as well as the usual complementary teas and coffees. Delicious home cooked breakfast served in charming dining...

We enjoyed the quaintness & originality of the old vicarage. There were some lovely touches such as complimentary drinks & great lounge to sit in. Had the weather turned bad-we had great walking weather-we would have had a nice place to sit in & relax. Annette & Keith were very helpful to make our stay comfy. We appreciated our packed...

It was a pleasure, Bettina, and no it didn't put me out. I did think it was a bit strange to be asked for a take away breakfast though - a definite first for The Old Vicarage!! It must have been stone cold by the time you ate it! Anyway, thank you for taking the time to write a review...

Our second visit to the best of B&Bs. Annette and Keith make their guests feel so welcome, the double room is so comfortable and every need is catered for, all this and an excellent breakfast - didn't want to leave.

Beautiful property, very comfortable accommodation, lovely hosts and the breakfast pot was divine!! They also catered for my gluten free needs and provided tea/coffee/fresh milk in the room. A fabulous stay and I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thank you :)

Great three days at The Old Vicarage. I really felt at home and relaxed, great breakfasts and so much choice. Cycling friendly and happy to help with any request. Nice small touches throughout the stay and close to the see and A1 for access north.

A warm welcome from two lovely hosts who clearly work hard to ensure that their guests have a relaxing time with them. We asked for suggestions for places to eat that evening that we followed up,super room and yummy breakfast! What more can you ask for!

We spent a wonderful night here while hiking on St. Oswald's Way. The house is comfortable and feels like home. Our room was large with a sofa. There was even complimentary sherry and mead. Keith and Annette were so helpful with restaurant suggestions and they even helped with some wet, muddy clothing that we didn't know what to do with....
