My friends and family visited Blue Bell on 23rd July for my hen do prior to a spa trip the following day. The hotel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (none of the usual hen-do snobbery!) We had a private room which was decorated without our asking, music system provided and cocktail menu (created just for us).... More

Three nights B&B for £99.00 good value for the Breakfast alone. The Hotel is tired and in need of maintenance and updating. However if you need a Hotel within easy driving distance of North Northumberland's attractions this could be for you. Lindisfarne,Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses and Alnick are within easy driving distance. This is a genuine case of you get what... More

My husband and I stayed overnight Tuesday 12 July having a Livingsocial voucher. We thoroughly enjoyed the short break finding the Hotel staff extremely friendly and the food very good. We dined in the restaurant, my husband having the tasty fish pie, and because the portions were on the large side, I opted for a starter as a main followed... More

Just returned from 2 night break. An excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Staff all very polite & friendly. Yes hotel is little bit tired in places & hot water takes a little while to come through but it is old so part of the charm! Our room was huge & clean.

Decent pub grub and friendly staff, even if the place is rather dated. My husband and friend had the fish pie, which was absolutely delicious but the portion size of the accompanying vegetables was huge. The mixed grill is also huge but very nice. We sat in the bar as we had our dogs with us. Nice atmosphere and fine... More

We recently had a great 4 night break here. The building was old, tired and had creaky floor boards. But frankly that goes with the territory. Our room had lovely views from large windows looking across the rear gardens, although this had the drawback of a constant noise from a boiler room or generator which you get used to after... More

The food was unquestionably good. However housekeeping let them down I thought. Dead flies left in windows for days, our room not hoovered, our bed's not made properly. The duvet covers left hanging on the floor, bathroom was not cleaned properly. Bath and sink not ckeaned whilst we were in the room. Staff all very friendly and helpful in all... More

This hotel is VERY tired, TLC it needs a Lancaster bomber with a stray bomb... There is a lovely sign in the bathroom of our room warning before you complain that this is an old building so you might not get any hot water and they were right. The radiator leaked all over the bathroom as did the shower, the... More

We had intended booking a 3 day break which was on offer but wanted to check for disabled rooms, car parking and pet friendly first. So phoned the Hotel, there was no answer left a message with phone number saying we wanted some details of the Hotel. They didn't phone back so we called again to be told that they... More

I am sorry to hear you had trouble with the Living Social deal. As the terms of the voucher state, it is booking via email only - this is due to the large volume of calls that we receive. every email is responded to. This particular deal ended earlier than expected due to reaching our limit on vouchers sold. Better... More

Booked this via a deal on the Internet 3 nights B&B for £99 with no extra charge for the dog! Brilliant sized room no.10 with lovely views of the garden and local church. Ate on the Sunday in the hotel and had 2 courses for £9.95 but could have had 3 courses for £10.95 but we were so full and... More
