Warmly welcomed by the barman, and the coal fire was warm also. Ordered food and drinks, as he poured Liz changed her mind, not a problem to the barman, who simply said he'd have to drink the one already poured himself ! Boiled ham sandwiches, thick slabs of hand carved meat. Well worth a visit

We had planned a long weekend break in Edinburgh to mark my mums 70th birthday and decided to break up the long journey from Sheffield with a full day in Northumberland exploring the area (Seahouses, Bamburgh, Holy Island & Beadnell) and an overnight stay at the Craster Arms before continuing our journey. After a great day exploring the area we...

Excellent weekend at Craster Arms. We parked our motorhomes in the car park from Friday to Sunday. No charge, however we did have dinner in the pub Friday and Saturday nights (no pressure from the owner). The food was excellent. Superb service. Good selection of beers. Our dog was welcomed in the restaurant. Very cozy and friendly. And we received...

Following a days shopping in Newcastle and a Family drop off in Whitley bay, we decided to have an overnight stop on our return journey to Scotland, we had booked the Craster Arms several weeks ago, as we wanted somewhere quiet and restful for a good meal and great accommodation. We could not have picked a better place to do...

Very comfy room but a bit hot as the thermostat was not working but it did not spoil our stay. food was great and the portions were plentiful for hungry travellers. The surrounding area is beautiful with lovely beaches and charming country pubs to visit.

My husband & I stayed at this friendly pub for two nights, our room was clean & comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We also had a beautiful meal there with good wine - all at a very reasonable price. However, be prepared to walk/drive if you want a little bit more to do, thank you for looking after us.

First of all, the positives. The bar is spacious, warm, clean and nicely decorated. There is an area for customers with dogs, and outside, lots of tables to use in the summer. The young serving/bar staff were appropriately friendly, charming and efficient. We ordered a large gin and tonic and a pint of beer. I was offered a choice of...

Thanks for the review Margret. Glad to hear that your husband enjoyed his experience with us and you both found the staff friendly. Sorry to hear you own experience didn't match your husbands, but I think that may be down to differing tastes as many customers have enjoyed the crab salad. As for the prices we are inline with our...

We had previously eaten in the Craster Arms (and the food was outstanding) so when we decided to go for a weekend to Northumberland, we thought that we would try out their accommodation. We were not disappointed! The room was large and well equipped with a very comfortable bed and lovely en-suite. The hotel was very clean and tidy and...

We stayed in Beadnell for a winter break, with dogs in tow. The Craster Arms was recommended to us by locals.I now know why!. We arrived on Halloween night, the place was full of diners, and the staff all dressed up ( some staff so well disguised as ghouls, that we hardly recognised them without the wigs and dresses the...
