Down on holiday for the week to Northumberland and booked an evening meal at the Craster Arms for the family as we had our dog, Charlie with us & this is a dog-friendly pub. Very busy when we arrived and we were shown to an annex room at the back of the restaurant for the doggy people. No problems &... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was excellent, tastefully decorated and very clean. Spent a lot of time in the beer garden, great weather. All day food well cooked and a great variety. Dinner at night was excellent but reserve a table. Will definitely come back. No negatives, however if you dislike dogs around when you're eating this is... More

We were staying in a Cottage along the road in Swinhope for a week and had a couple of nights in the Beer Garden for nice cold drinks. It was lovely weather so that was nice and it is dog friendly. We decided to book a meal for the Friday night and although it was very busy we didn't wait... More

I'm reviewing this trying to save people money. Firstly on arrival bought a drink for myself and my wife told them l had a table booked for 7-30 and was checked in and showed to a table with the menus after asking if we ordered at the table or the bar was told that he would send someone over. Twenty... More

Lovely food in a busy pub. Good menu with a variety of food at reasonable prices. Highly recommend the giant cod and chips... You won't be able to eat dessert!! Top tip...you should book a table as it gets busy.

We stayed here over night and it is a little run down I could do with a face lift, it felt like I was going into a bedroom from the 80s . Not the most comfortable place either a snappy dog and owner who seem to be I the pub all the time made us feel awkward

Booked as we wanted to be in a central location for the area and the rooms advertised looked a good size. Our room was 2 rooms which had once been separated by double doors which had since been removed. The room had a fridge which was useful. All in all the room was adequate, we didn't spend much time in... More

I was staying in Beadnell on a diving trip and used this pub for dinner. The service was friendly and the menu extensive. I found it a bit pricey for a country pub, but the portions were generous. The steaks, pies and fish had by our party were all very good, and were the puds for those of us who... More

We stopped for 4 nights, B&B, and were allocated room 1, ground floor at the front of the pub, cost £100 per night, for two, inc the dog. The room was large, with a separate lounge area, with sofa, dining table and small fridge, TV and radio. Reasonable size bathroom, with shower over bath. This is the room to try... More

We arrived here mid afternoon on Father's Day, so it was busy, but we were warmly welcomed and a table was found for us. We both had soup with a sandwich and shared a bowl of chips. The soup - Mushroom and Peppercorn was rich and full of flavour and Hubbys crab sandwich was the BEST he had during our... More
