The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and there’s plenty of parking available. Our room was a bit of a trek from reception but it was clean and comfortable and we had a great walk-in shower. We didn’t experience any noise from other rooms other than a very heavy footed person

I could not book our preferred Premier Inns in Newcastle owing to a sporting event which seemed to have taken over the city. The location was very pretty and the room immaculate as always with this brand. Shops were within a few minutes' drive for last minute forgotten holiday

Response from WhitbreadHotels, Guest Relations at Premier Inn Ashington Hotel

Hi, Thanks for your review. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience staying with us as it was not up to the standards you were expecting. We aim to ensure every stay is perfect and so I apologise we let you down on this occasion. It is disappointing to hear that the cleanliness of your room was not up to the standard we would expect. Our Housekeeping team complete a full service before every check-in and so should be fresh and clean when you arrive. We apologise you found the bathroom mouldy, room dusty and carpet unclean. Please be assured I've passed your feedback on to the Manager of the hotel to look into with our Housekeeping team to ensure our high standards are constantly being met and your experience is not repeated. We also apologise there were issues with the water pressure during your stay which affected your ability to shower or bath. This does sound like a problem with the plumbing so we have logged this to our Maintenance team to investigate. We're also sorry you're unhappy with the resolution offered by our Guest Relations team. We would recommend replying to the email you've received and this will be reassessed. Once again I apologise for the disappointment caused and hope to welcome you to one of our other hotels again in the future. Kind regards, Rebecca

This is a great location (out on its own) for the Northumbria coast road, a few miles from Warkworth castle, Bamburgh and Alnwick. Be prepared to drive for any other restuarant as literally this location holds the Premier Inn, a Brewers Fayre and a lake.
