This nice B&B is located in a strategic position, on a quiet street just a short walk from Alnwick town center and the famous castle. The rooms are pretty and the mattresses, really comfortable, ensure a good rest! The hostess, Jan, is friendly and discreet and makes you feel really at home.

We stayed at the Beaconsfield for three nights in early June, arriving at nearby Alnmouth by train and then as a base to visit Alnwick Garden and town, and various places along the lovely coastline from Amble in the south up to Bamburgh in the north, using the local buses. The Beaconsfield is in a quiet street about 5 (character-building... More

This delightful Bed and Breakfast is within an easy walk to the centre of Alnwick and the castle. Friendly owners and clean comfortable rooms with a hint of poppies decorating the walls. We had a lovely stay and would certainly return . It had everything you expect in a Bed and Breakfast.

Stayed for one night at the Beaconsfield B&B on 24/4/15. Jan the landlady was very welcoming & friendly. The double room was spotless, tea & coffee making facilities, lovely white towels...... The breakfast was well presented and tasted good, we even had a teapot on the table which didn't leak!!! Overall enjoyed our stay at Jan's lovely home.

A beautiful guesthouse set in the most amazing landscape. Peaceful. The rooms were well laid out and very comfortable. We had a travel cot in our double room for our daughter and there was plenty of room. Host Jan so incredibly helpful and genuine. We will be back soon!!

Stayed in front room for short break. Lovely breakfast, great shower, everything clean and nice to look at. Had a lovely trip as plenty to do in town and local area. Short walk to town through streets and a ginnel. Owner friendly and helpful, gave advice on activities. Would return :)

Both myself and my wife stayed at the b&b in July when visiting the north east. The beaconsfield was recommended via the tourist information and they couldn't have recommended a better place. The owner met us at the door and was so welcoming. The rooms were spotless and had everything you needed in them. The location into Alnwick was a... More
