A delightful spot for our pre Christmas break. A warming log fire, coffee and home made cake on arrival. Very comfortable room with fruit, biscuits and sherry! Delicious breakfast Our hosts were very helpful and informative but not at all intrusive. Hope to return.

We were looking forward to our stay at Bruce and Jeanette's beautiful B and B and it was everything we had envisaged and more. We were greeted by Jeanette with coffee and cake (gluten free for me). Jeanette told us the best places to dine and beauty spots to visit as well as a bit area history. We had our...

Have just spend 3 nights at West Acre House and I can't praise it highly enough. Everything was excellent: a clean and well-equipped room, a comfortable bed, a delicious breakfast, a beautiful house and gardens and a short walk into the town centre. However, it was all the extra touches that made our stay really special: the dressing gowns, the...

Lovely welcome on our arrival by Bruce, who after we had brought in our bags served us with a very much appreciated cup of tea and an assortment of cake/biscuits in the Garden room. The whole house is tastefully decorated and a credit to the owners, who offer the kind of generous hospitality associated with this part of the country....

Our welcome of tea and cake was just the start of a wonderful stay at West Acres with Jeanette and Bruce. We stayed in The Parisian Room which was palatial, stunningly clean, beautifully furnished with an adjoining separate area with dressing table. Our hosts had obviously thought through everything that a guest could possibly need and more , for example...

Great location near the town on a quiet residential street which is easy to find. It was our first trip to Northumberland and so happy to have found this lovely B&B to use as our base. The house and gardens are immaculate, the owners very welcoming and friendly. Our room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds and large en suite...
