Bought a groupon voucher for afternoon tea here and after visiting other places I was excited for this as had heard good things. Upon arrival we were greeted well and seated. We sat in what looked like the reception waiting area which looked more like an old peoples home. We were offered tea and coffee then were brought the platter... More

we did not stay at the hotel, we only went for the Sunday roast, it was excellent, the staff were great and you were not rushed in and out, it was quite busy, think a tip on this place would be to book ahead, but saying that we were given a table quite quickly

we came back here after a few years away, to find that little had been done to update the hotel. This is a shame as the restaurant is excellent. Our room was a decent size, but the sash windows would not stay open, had to be propped up with a cup/glass. This was unwelcome as the room was very warm,... More

Went to the Bridge Hotel for a meal. Lovely Olde Worlde hotel. The food was great, l recommend the Haddock and Chips! The staff are all very welcoming and very accommodating. They seem to have had some work done, especially in the ladies toilets and they are much fresher and brighter. Will definitely go back!!

We stayed at the bridge Hotel 2 weeks ago, the staff were friendly & helpful but the accommodation was very poor, our allocated room was very small dirty with cracks in the walls Windows dirty & rotten. We complained & were allocated another room still the same as the first. At a price of £94.00 for one night I would... More

We booked a room for two nights here due to a wedding. We viewed the room before hand which the room was not perfect but we thought you couldn't go wrong for the price we paid. We came back a week later to begin our stay and was looking forward to our stay but within the week they had a... More

We booked a groupon to stay at what looked like a nice old hotel. On arrival its shabby tired and worn out. We stood for a good 15 minutes to check in surrounded by threadbare carpet and dodgy decoration. When we were finally given our key (not shown to our room) we opened the door on what looked like a... Lovely staff and food however, the hotel is in need of some TLC. I's situated in a very quiet area but has some picturesque areas. Bit noisy in the rooms at night if there is a function going on downstairs

This hotel is local to me and even though the hotel has terrible reviews for the rooms available to stay in the food has always been known locally to be great. I booked a table last week for my birthday with a foreign lady who barely understood my booking and I wasn't sure if this would cause problems later, well... More
