We went here for Afternoon tea which was part of a 'Group on" offer. The food consisted of four sandwiches each (egg, cheese and pickle, ham and salmon), a scone with jam and cream, raspberries with cream in a shot glass and a small slice of lemon cake. The sandwiches were fine, pretty standard, great for me as I am... More

We needed someone to stay after a party. From the outside, this place looks very appealing. We were so disappointed. Firstly a coat of paint, new bedding, modern pictures on the wall and fix the creaky floorboard and you would have an acceptable room. The bed was clean and not too bad to sleep in. Not sure what you call... More

The room was dirty.Tea cups needed washing before use.Tea spoons on the dirty window sills.Tired furniture. Woken early on Sunday at 8am after a late night by men erecting scaffolding outside the bedroom window.Long loud discussion about how to put up the equipment. We complained about this when checking out and were reassured the manager would contact us.No call as... More

Bought a groupon voucher for afternoon tea here and after visiting other places I was excited for this as had heard good things. Upon arrival we were greeted well and seated. We sat in what looked like the reception waiting area which looked more like an old peoples home. We were offered tea and coffee then were brought the platter... More

we did not stay at the hotel, we only went for the Sunday roast, it was excellent, the staff were great and you were not rushed in and out, it was quite busy, think a tip on this place would be to book ahead, but saying that we were given a table quite quickly

we came back here after a few years away, to find that little had been done to update the hotel. This is a shame as the restaurant is excellent. Our room was a decent size, but the sash windows would not stay open, had to be propped up with a cup/glass. This was unwelcome as the room was very warm,... More

Went to the Bridge Hotel for a meal. Lovely Olde Worlde hotel. The food was great, l recommend the Haddock and Chips! The staff are all very welcoming and very accommodating. They seem to have had some work done, especially in the ladies toilets and they are much fresher and brighter. Will definitely go back!!
