What a lovely evening. Superb evening meal preceded with a relaxing drink in the lounge/bar area. The food was exceptional. Fresh, local, beautifully cooked and presented. The wine list was tailored to all tastes and budgets. A comfy bed awaited in a well appointed room. A tasty breakfast greeted us this morning. (The sausage was amazing)!.Anyone who appreciates wonderful food... More

Stayed here 8th October for the night with my husband and daughter as visiting family, so so friendly and helpful, rooms very comfy and traditional, overlooked the main road and the only noise was the horses hooves as they rode past, so lovely and quaint, breakfast was fab and a good choice, will certainly stay again.

Two of us from London and two from Birmingham met a fifth colleague who lives reasonably locally to have lunch here. It may be an old building, but the interior of the establishment is bright and modern. It offers a daily menu comprising four (?) choices for starters, mains and dessert. The cost is £33 plus service charge. We were... More

Very welcoming and friendly staff . Lovely room nice neat compact ensuite. Stayed a Friday and sat night . My bedroom was over the restaurant and personally I didn't think too much noise came through from a very busy restaurant .

Our three-course dinner was absolutely delicious and could not be faulted - such a surprise to find fine-dining in a quiet, quite remote village and this may have explained why it wasn't particularly busy when we visited on a Friday evening. The service was also excellent. Our room was adequate, very clean and contained all we needed for an overnight... More

How can a place I've loved for over ten years get better? With a duck egg and Parmesan custard nestled snugly underneath a Parma ham crumble, caressed by sweet (almost chutneyed) shallots. I have - for years - held Marcus Springett's pate as the best I've ever tasted but this dessert/savoury/starter mix up messed with my mind and made me... More

Came here for dinner with an old friend for a good catch up, we had a great evening. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated with a really relaxed atmosphere. We were promptly given the menu and wine list, the waitress was really friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The food was brilliant, we both cleared our plates for each... More

We like The Vine House. Last year, we had an excellent meal here (and these days you need to find good restaurants near Northampton - there aren't many anymore) This time though, they didn't hit the spot. From the top; Service. Friendly and polite, but they should know which meal is ordered at each cover("who's having the lamb" is a... More

This is top priced food but worth every penny, absolutely amazing and the missus loved it and she's hard to please. Lovely place to eat and great staff, it has a lovely rear garden and a good amount of parking. Overall brilliant probably the best food I've ever tasted, will definitely be going back.

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family for the weekend. We were warmly welcomed and very well looked after. Lovely comfortable beds and fantastic breakfasts and dinner with set price of £33 for 3 courses. Excellent wine list too.
