Nothing to fault, everything as I hoped from the pics. It was very muggy the evening I stayed and although there was a fan in the room which I had on all night, I would have preferred AC whilst in the room before going to sleep. good bar, excellent brekkie - beautiful layout. tiny carpark so mayhave to use street parking which is right outside with 2 hr restrictions from 8am.

We stayed at the Talbot Hotel on Friday 5 July 2019 as a stopover on a trip South. We booked it on a whim less than a week ago and had a lovely stay. The room we had had been recently refurbished, the standard of cleanliness was good and the bathroom toiletries were usable (we are very particular and always have our own with us). There was a superb singer performing in the Courtyard during the evening, which we very much enjoyed. We ate in the restaurant on Friday evening and breakfasted there on the Saturday morning - both meals were very good and the staff were lovely.

A brilliant place to stay on our canoe tour of the River Nene. When we arrived with paddles and life vests, no one batted an eyelid and we got a lovely welcome. The hotel is full of history and was a lovely, luxurious stop over after our day of activity. The location is fabulous and very quiet so we got a lovely, restful night's sleep. The gardens are lovely too!

Only stayed because it suited us for the weekend . Would not stay otherwise. I have stayed before and the standard has fallen over the years I have visited.. I suspect the room has not been cleaned for some time

It is a very good & quiet place to rest. I enjoy the service, room & food here. Thank you. I think I will choose the Talbot Hotel again when I am stopped by. As I can enjoy the good scenery, beautiful garden, nice people & yummy food here. I like the town too. It is a calm & historic town with so many nice architectural buildings.
