The whole town and the hotel is beautiful and historical. The services of the hotel is a kind of slow especially when serving the breakfast but it should the way of their leisure attitude. For me it is acceptable but not my husband.

A must stay if you are visiting the Peterborough area. I don't want to write a novel, you said this was short at the beginning but it has proven anything but short. Why, do I have to keep typing. Xxxxxxxx. Xxxxxxxx. Dedfggddvbbb

Friendly staff, good facilities, rooms were fine. Dinner service was not the best but acceptable. Breakfast was great. Overall stay was fine but BEWARE of hidden charges if you want a room which caters for children. Our e-mailed reservation confirmation stated the "Total cost of stay for 2 adults 2 children and breakfast" On checking out they had added £20... More

Fantastic setting, great location. Very comfortable room. Breakfast service disappointing but food quality superb. On arrival at breakfast there were no clean tables and we were not seated or asked whether we wanted tea or coffee and I after a 15 min wait I had to get up and ask for menus and drinks which was annoying.

Stayed whilst on a business trip. A lovely hotel with great service. Would visit again. Breakfast and coffee was great! Room was comfy and clean. The village it is located in (Oundle) is also nice and quaint and Beans coffee shop is really nice.

We thought this was excellent value for money and a lovely old hotel with lots of charm. Friendly staff and good location in Oundle , we stayed in winter and it was quiet but possibly rooms overlooking the courtyard might be noisy in the summer.

An historic and very comfortable hotel in the centre of Oundle. We had a stay of just one night, but wish it had been longer. Comfortable bedrooms, lovely restaurant and cosy bar – great when one doesn't have to drive! We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed it. Vegetarian choices limited, but plenty of options in the town if... More

Another enjoyable stay at the Talbot. Excellent food particularly the breakfast. A very efficiently run hotel with highly motivated staff. Very impressed with the two members of the management team who vacated two armchairs for our convenience.

We haven't stayed or visited here for very many years, therefore we really appreciated the vast improvements that have been carried out since this establishment became part of the Coaching Inn Group. Our Room - the Barnwell, was large, nicely decorated and well appointed, warm and comfortable. The bed was big and comfortable too, although we thought the duvet was... More

Very Good! Unique old building and unique hotel choice for this small city) Excellent service. Have tried other restaurants around (they are all very near), but the food in the hotel was the best (including breakfast)!
