Wow what a beautiful building and surroundings. Had afternoon tea on the Saturday and chilled in the pool area. Evening meal was lovely but a bit posh for me , still stuffed from the tea. Booked treatments for the Sunday most enjoyable. Room was really comfortable and well equipped. Proper milk in fridge was a nice touch. One piece of... More

Lovely historical building, completely secluded from the hustle and bustle of the town, stunning grounds, beautiful rooms. Fine dining is to be expected as well as amazing service. I have been few times..and loved it just as much each time. Highly recommended!

We found the staff unhelpful throughout.examples being slow checkin, the porter not exactly rushing to carry cases,I am 69 and ended up carrying my own!! Room(Robert Dudley) really nice. Like others before me I found the breakfast a major disappointment mainly seeming to centre round tasteless scrambled egg. The waitress spilt my coffee and didn't volunteer to clear it up and... Fourteen of us spent last weekend at the hotel on a one-night classic spa break for my daughter's hen party. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble and they really made sure we had a great weekend. Hotel well maintained with lovely gardens and a super spa. Rooms all good. We had the Table de hote menu in... More

Myself and two colleagues stayed here last night after a day of meetings at the hotel. The service was excellent and the food was extremely good. The gym and spa area are fantastic. This is my second stay after a meal and overnight stay a few years ago.

A mixed collection of buildings, some ancient, some modern. The old buildings are well restored, some parts spectacularly so. Inevitably, however, lots of stairs, some extremely steep, borderline dangerous - and and long corridors thus uncomfortable and difficult for our aged legs. The porter had a manful but uncomplaining struggle with our bags! Car parking just adequate and got choked... More

This place is a dream. Nothing at all to complain about. Staff really friendly. Spa second to none. Room super. Bed sooooo comfortable. Wonderful all round stay. The only complaint if it is a complaint is that the towels were too big and fluffy. I am only 5ft tall so they absolutely drowned me.

Despite advertising room with electronic safe, ours was not functional and they 'couldn't fix it because it is weekend'. we arrived on Friday afternoon. we were offered that they would lock our valuables in a room in reception, which was most unsatisfactory and inconvenient

We had our sons American in laws staying for a few days and I promised them 'elevenses' which had them intrigued. I had experienced these at Fawsley last year when celebrating a friends 80th birthday, and we had thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I checked with trip advisor before booking this visit and was somewhat concerned by comments saying there wasn't... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Steeped in tradition and history, Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa in Northamptonshire is a beautiful country house hotel surrounded by formal gardens and parkland landscaped by Capability Brown in the 1760s. It was a home built for entertaining: Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and other monarchs all enjoyed its fine hospitality, and that tradition continues to this day. The hotel has been awarded 4 AA red stars and 2 Rosettes for its Cedar Restaurant, which offers a host of treats, not least of which is afternoon tea, a much loved tradition within our walls. ... more   less
