Just returned from our umpteenth visit to this wonderful family run hotel. Everyone is so friendly it's like visiting family. Everything is excellent, from the tasty food to the comfortable clean rooms and is excellent value for money. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is set in a lovely Dales village with views to die for, with lots a... More

Stayed here two years ago and came back because it was lovely last time. Still lovely, with even better food than I remember. The nice smiley lady is still there as well. Comfortable rooms with all the facilities to make life easy. Nice snug and bar area, comfortable lounge area and nice ambience in the dining room. Very good value... More

Great rooms, great food, great common room to drink and socialize. Such a pretty setting and upscale dinning. Food was tasty and diverse. Staff is fine. Nothing too friendly but they were not rude. Good scotch and beer selection.

We didn't stay in the hotel but stopped at the tea room for a short break in our journey. We had some cream tea, Yorkshire cake and all was gorgeous. We loved the idea of souvenirs and cards for purchase. Very nice and homely atmosphere.

We did not stay - but we called in at the coffee shop on our motor tour around the area. Car Park at the back - so no probs parking. Very large eating / bistro area. Food was lovely and definitely recommended. Lovely place to stop

It is such a pleasure to stay at a rural hotel that is so well presented. The public and bedrooms are spotlessly clean and tidy. Not a trace of mould or leakage in the shower room. The long serving staff (always a good sign) are so accommodating and friendly - Elsie and Florin in particular. And the food is so... More

We were disappointed when we returned to Kearton Country Hotel which is under new management to be charged £1 for a jug of hot water with our afternoon tea. We had scones and cake and bizarrely were provided with additional milk at no extra charge. I couldn't see where the extra £1 charge showed on the menu and have never... More

I stayed here with a group of friends on a walking holiday for the second year running. Once again we were bowled over by the rooms all which seem to have great views, the manager and his staff are all so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, and most important for hungry walkers the food is home cooked... We thought that this place was great. A large pot of tea for two, as mentioned, a ginger biscuit with your tea and we also had a slab of delicious carrot cake. Sitting outside and watching the world go by is very relaxing and we are hoping to go back over to try their dinner menu. Very nice, thank you!

What a find! The perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Comfortable, cozy, attentive staff and great food.....wouldn't hesitate in staying there again. The log burning stove was greatly appreciated given the somewhat chilly weather and the great ale selection helped.
