We arrived before 7 and chose the early evening menu which was very reasonable in price especially for my London based colleagues. The choice was good and the food was excellent. The Bistro was pleasantly busy on a Tuesday night in early January.

If its peace and quiet your after this is not the place. Its situated on a triangle of roads which have traffic all through the night. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The big let down was the service in the restaurant. We waited 30 mins for our starters about the same time for our main course...

Family of 4 stayed and enjoyed New Year celebrations. Delighted to be welcomed by Bartek. Service overall was outstanding. Good evening meal served with courtesy and professionalism. Breakfast lovely. Under the new management this venue will return to its former glory.

Have been many times over the years. Not always a huge fan. Boxing day lunch however was exceptional. Restored my faith in the place. Have been told it has new owners. Bravo to them. Highly recommended

Its proper Air Con in the bedroom, brilliant for the summer but we had difficulty in getting heat out of it especially as it was very cold outside and as the window frames were old and weren't very well insulated! The Jewel...

This place is tricky to find as you seem to be going right back down the A19 the way you came! However, it is a lovely modern hotel/restaurant perfectly blended with the old such as real log fires. It had a very homely feel - staff went out of their way to make you feel like they knew you personally...
