Only stayed for one night but for an average looking pub it was awesome. The staff were very welcoming and very genuine, the manageress went out of her way making us something to eat even though the kitchen had closed down for the night. We had room number 1 which was very comfortable and clean with an amazing outlook. Our... More

A small pub a short distance from Richmond, pretty average in many respects and from first appearances may not appear a winner..........but you "can't judge a book by the cover". What it does have are 4 rooms (we had room 4) and while pretty basic it was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. It has a traditional pub bar with a... More

We eat here quite often and the food and welcome are always a delight. It's a true pub ,dog friendly and lovely staff. Don't expect a designer interior because it's not ,just good old fashioned Yorkshire hospitality can't comment on rooms as I live locally so never stayed

Brilliant food, atmosphere and wonderful staff, really made you feel welcome and nothing was too difficult. The food was exceptional, especially the steak and Beer pie, and the beer far to moreish! Far too short a visit but will be... More

We were recommended this pub. Called in for bar lunch. Excellent. Piping hot and delicious. I had homemade soup - best in a long time. Wish we could have gone back for dinner. Staff and customers really friendly. Great value for money. Easy parking. Extensive menu.

A really nice pub filled with friendly staff and the best Steak and Ale Pie I have ever eaten! The room was big and comfy with a lovely view of the countryside and the horses in the next field. All in all a great find and I can't wait to go back again.... Highly recommended!
