Called in at this place as a lunch stop both ways on a coach tour to Scotland, it has a good reasonably priced menu from a full English breakfast for just over £5 to hot sandwiches, jacket potatoes, home made scones, chips etc. we ordered a hot bacon sarnie and a basket of chips with a pot of good old...

Called in here when on the 1st leg of a coach holiday. Ordered a bacon, sausage & egg roll for breakfast. Absolutely 1st class, very tasty and a substantial roll, had a black coffee and was perfect, so many places deliver a dark and near tasteless and as I say this was spot on.

We spent two nights here in early March when we travelled North for our grandson's wedding. We were warmly welcomed and allocated a very comfortable and clean room. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very attentive. My only slight niggle was that the bath towels were not very generous, being of slightly above average build they were not 'all...

Had a very comfortable overnight stay. Very close to A1 so ideal spot. We had a lovely room with comfortable bed and it was very clean. We had a meal in the bar which was excellent quality. The service was great.

From the outside, and from the opening hours, this hotel looked cold, uncared for and unwelcoming. We were on our way home and stopped for the night, eager to rest. What a delightful, warm and understanding landlady! The decor is easy on the eye, clean and fresh with fun, insightful verses on the room walls. Rooms are small but have...

Clean spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Parking is across the road in the railway station. Dinner in the pub below was very nice. But our bathroom did smell of chips later that night! Towels were a little small, but the English breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is situated just off the A1 at North Allerton North Yorkshire, and is certainly worth the extra couple of miles for freshly prepared food and liquid refreshments. I can certainly recommend the Full English breakfast, also their soup of the day (of course not in one sitting, that would be greedy). If that is too much to travel...

We stayed one night at this lovely hotel. It is really smart and I loved the decor. Everything is cream with pale green touches, even the mugs in the bedroom matched! I also loved the writings on the walls which were instead of the normal standard pictures. We had an evening meal which was delicious and the breakfast was very...
