We are currently staying at the lodge. Charming beamed place with a very spacious and spotless bathroom. We are in room 2 with beautiful old beams. Lovely view from the terrace which has a gorgeous view for enjoying the sunshine. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We stayed here whilst away with work and overall it was better than average. I've always liked this place for food, mainly for the surroundings with nice beer garden and traditional feeling inside. I struggled finding something really healthy on the menu and wasn't keen on the frozen chips but the prices weren't bad. The room we had was hot... More

Trip was booked by my girlfriend as a suprise. It was one of the best places i have stayed. Staff were very welcoming but sometimes abit slow with service. The food was very nice. We ate in the restaurant both nights. Food prices wernt all that expensive. Our room was very clean and well decorated with a modern yet rustic... More

Great base for visiting Harrogate & the surrounding area. Very spacious on-suite room, very quiet. The property has lots of character/history. Although the room we had was above the pub we didn't hear a thing! Slept really well! We had an evening meal- a roast- the Yorkshire puds were to die for! The whole meal was superb. Continental breakfast included... More

Great looking and attached to a really nice pub/restaurant but the rooms let it down. Stayed 2 nights - room faced the main road - a little road noise as the window wouldn't shut into the frame but the secondary double glazing helped. The room was nice, a few cobwebs on the beams, but was modern and clean. The bed... More

Having booked online I was looking forward to a nice pub meal after a long walk. However once we received the menus covered in food we lost confidence. This was justified as the starter bread plate was stale and clearly from the freezer resembling nothing like warm rustic bread as on the menu. Main course was even worse. Frozen chips... More

Very easily accessible, just off a main road. Pay for your accommodation at check in rather than check out. We stayed in the family room, which was very nice, double bed and sofa bed in which we all slept well. The proximity to the main road was certainly not a problem for us in this room. We hadn't planned to... More

Only stayed 1 night here. Our room was quite big but the bathroom didn't seem to have been cleaned properly (dirty floor) & looked generally grubby & dated. Corridors & floors are all very creaky so it's impossible to walk without making a noise - not good at night or early in the morning! Noise between rooms also seemed to... More

Very good service for checking in and showing us around the lodge. Lovely room, good value for money. Bathroom clean but dated. Breakfast on the following morning was disappointing, lacked good customer service which I would have expected in the place. Breakfast took a rather long time considering very little guests in the restaurant, we weren't not kept informed. I... More
