On a glorious day we returned to a favourite. Judges Hotel just outside Yarm - easy to get to and lots of parking unlike Yarm!! Lunch was excellent throughout - keep room for those desserts. The staff was like meeting old friends. If you have never been and like a bit of Downton Abbey then this is the place for you. Highly recommended.

Three of us called in here for lunch as we were out driving. We found it to be such a beautiful place to have lunch. Thereafter, we took a relaxed stroll around the colourful grounds, taking lots of photographs. It is a wedding photographers dream as there so many places that can be used as an excellent backdrop for their photos. Being a glorious sunny day we chose to have lunch outside in the sunshine. The lunch was superb and very filling. We were very impressed with the two waitresses, Lisa and Cameren, who were ever so friendly and very efficient in their duties. They are a credit to the hotel. They made us very welcome, the food was excellent, and the opportunity to walk around the grounds at leisure is an added bonus. This delightful place deserves to be successful. Definitely will be returning when next in the area.

Another fabulous overnight stay with dinner and breakfast at one of our favourite hotels. Food was excellent and grounds fabulous! Staff were a pleasure as usual. Deluxe room was beautiful (4 poster bed). Only criticism is we lost a night's sleep as the bed was so hard and very uncomfortable and the pillows were like bricks-rock hard! We wouldnt stay in this room again. Hope management sorts this out as a restful night's sleep is essential for a relaxing break. When you're paying top whack-£300 for dinner bed and breakfast, a comfortable bed with soft pillows is a minimum standard really !

We booked a relaxing two night stay after a particularly difficult year, and it definitely lived up to that. The grounds are beautiful and you had the freedom to wander undisturbed. The hotel was very clean, and there was plenty of hand sanitizer available. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lovely selection of coffees and teas on the hospitality tray and fresh milk in the fridge. The staff were very friendly and always keen to make your stay special. We had the date night dinner which we would highly recommend. The quality of the food was excellent and the service was very attentive and professional. Breakfast was served in the conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens. The food was excellent and you can enjoy it at your own pace without feeling you have to hurry. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

I came for afternoon tea with a friend as a post lockdown treat in August. We were seated in the conservatory area which has beautiful views of the gardens. The afternoon tea itself was delicious - we had one savoury and one sweet platter which we shared. The pastries were beautifully cooked and the scones were decently sized and served warm. The staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel very important! Can't wait to return
