Came back here after a gap of nearly 40 years and loved it even more. Very friendly and helpful owners. Tents/units are placed around the edge of an enormous field, which means that you are a bit close to your neighbours if the place is full, but gives you a great sense of space. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful, just... More

Excellent site with wonderful views of the surrounding Dales. Situated a short walk into the local town of Hawes, with plenty of choices for all manner of food and drink. The local chippie also do great fish & chips! Wensley Dale creamery is another great spot to visit & tour!

This is the first time we stayed at this campsite. It is just great. It has everything that you need for camping, great grassed and well kept fields. Gas, milk, eggs for sale. The toilet blocks are as good as some NT campsites I've stayed at, and the price is spot on for camping in a beautiful and amazing landscape.... More

This is a delightful site, just on the edge of Hawes - a 12-15 minute easy walk to the centre and the pubs etc. Lovely views of the fields and fells around, plenty of space and therefore little noise despite the number of people staying, good facilities which are spotlessly clean, and the whole site has the air of a... Ok so there is no bar on site but beautiful Hawes is only 10 mins walk saving on taxi fares. We were greeted by a very friendly landlady in reception and our spot was easy to find which consisted of an immaculate pitch recently mowed and a deep lush green. Surrounding us were spectacular views of the Yorkshire dales under... More

We arrived fairly late as we had been driving the Dales looking for a camp site. They did not really have a vacancy but took one look at me and found us a space as we were so tired. Booked the 1 night due to the weather but ended up staying another night as it was such a lovely place.... More

Have camped here on a number of occasions and never been disappointed. The site is always well maintained with nice mown pitches.Showers cost 20p for 5 mins.Dogs welcome but must be on leads. It's about a 3/4 mile walk downhill into town, seems like a mile coming back with a few beers inside. Great campsite with no pitching after 22.00,... More

This campsite is truly perfect. It is old school friendly unlike so many places these days. The facilities are impeccably clean, in great working order and the showers are the best showers we have ever experienced in a campsite either in the UK or abroad. Well worth the 20p. The grass on both the touring field and the campers field is... More
