Today was our first visit to Simonstone Hall. Our greeting was warm, friendly and professional. We were directed to the Bar area where we ordered drinks and seated at our table in the 'Brassiere' - a tastefully decorated room which a glass covered Well! My husband had a view over the lawn and countryside - quite spectacular for a Wedding... More

We stayed here as a party of 16 for a family celebration and cannot fault any aspect. The whole party were very well cared for by friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are well looked after and clean. The food is of a high standard. Really pleased we chose to stay there and would not hesitate to go back.

We came for the weekend staying just up the road in the caravan, this place was recommended. The food was excellent and not out of place in any five star establishment. Sadly a lack of communication between staff taking orders serving drinks and attending to tables. White wine at £27.50 was served at room temp, bar staff not sure what... More

We popped in for a light and late-ish lunch and were very pleased we did: firstly our G&Ts were first-class and served in proper balloon gin glasses; secondly the duck liver parfait was absolutely delicious. Definitely on our list for our next trip to Yorkshire.

We stayed in gorgeous Dales view room for four nights. Didn't want to leave. Huge bed very comfy. Bath and shower great. Views to die for and so peaceful. Good food first class. Got locked out on Saturday night but thankfully got back in. Phew! Can't wait to return😀

Honest review. Staff good. Public areas nice. Food, good portions, breakfast good, evening meal avg. Beer is awful unless you like unkept stuff diluted with pipe cleaner. Room 1, 2, or 3 are poor with little or no view and a noisy extractor fan. Decor upstairs is poor, worn, torn and damp. If you want to go to Hawes, stay... More

During a walking weekend in Hawes, some friends and I came accross this beautiful establishment by sheer accident. Despite the Hall being incredibly grand, the staff were lovely. We were served with cafetieres of delicious coffee by the friendly Gary, who have us lots of information about the Hall and proudly told us about the planned vegetable gardens. We had... More

stopped by for afternoon tea with a view (the view mattered). We were not disappointed for we found a table facing the stunning views to the south and west of the hotel - dale and fellsides. So much so that it was like being in the view itself - had the weather been kinder we would have sat out on... More

Came here for a meal with family and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty, the service friendly and welcoming and the views stupendous. As it was some weeks ago, I can't remember exactly what we all ate, but I do remember it was well presented and very yummy, as well as filling.
