Visited to check the hotel as a potential wedding venue. The public rooms and bedrooms rooms that have been upgraded are lovely and the whole place has huge potential but at the moment the entrance is at the rear and least attractive part of the building and the reception area and bar aren't very inspiring. Some of the rooms and... More

3rd visit here for a lunch in the garden terrace while out walking in the Yorkshire Dales. Great food and good service, nothing is to much trouble! A must visit and booking advices for evening meals. Wonderful for a romantic wedding or a special occasion.

Had dinner for two with lovely food, attentive and really good service and a very nice Carignan wine, not cheap at £28, but well worth it. Can't fault the above and we eat here every time we visit Hawes (twice a year). The bistro could do with a bit of a revamp - perhaps new tables, a candle/lamp on the... More

Called for a long cold beer after a hard walk. We were made to feel very welcome even though we were dress for the hills. The owner share a interesting conversation with us about the grouse shooting. The view is beautiful from the hotel over the dales.

We visited Simonstone Hall for lunch so we could also experience the fantastic views from the Brasserie and we weren't disappointed. I have to say the food was fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was that I think the hall had seen better days and could possibly do with a touch of... Visited here with friends for a drink on a very warm day. I have to say it is a beautiful place with fantastic views. We sat outside and took in the beautiful scenery. Staff were very helpful in taking our order. They do serve meals and teas throughout the day. We will definitely return next time we're at Hawes.

My husband and I traveled to Hawes, England because he had researched all of the great cycling roads in the area and my maiden name is Hawes so it just sounded like a good idea! There are several little b&b's in the area, but the photos of Simonstone Hall caught my eye. We were delighted with every aspect of Simonstone.... More

We stayed here whilst watching a Minor Counties 3 day cricket match at Sedbergh. The view from the dining room was amazing, possibly helped by the good weather and sunshine. The food was excellent all cooked to order and served at the table, an additional member of staff on the Tuesday morning might have helped. The bedroom was fine, the... More

Simonstone Hall Hotel was a wonderful setting for our North Yorkshire visit. Only 5min drive from Hawes. Stunning views over the North Yorkshire hills. Elegant and rustic decor throughout. Currently going through renovation but already looks good. Only had dessert in the restaurant but it was delicious and presented beautifully. Great provision in the room all the basics you would... We stayed at Simonstone Hall to celebrate my fathers upcoming birthday. Simonstone Hall is located outside of Hawes and is just a short walk away from the Hardraw Force, England's Highest Single Drop Waterfall. The breakfast is so, so good that it sets you up for a full day of walking and the staff is unbelievably friendly. We mentioned we... More
