Called here for lunch on a hot sunny day, so we sat outside with the dog, dogs are welcome inside as well. The tables outside overlook main road which is a lively area. You order inside at bar and pay for when ordering, I ordered a soup and two sandwiches, it all came to table at same time as requested,... More

Booked in at last minute but really glad we did. Very welcoming, rooms clean and spacious, food excellent. For an extra £10 ask for room 2 which is more like a suite complete with sofa and full size TV on the wall. The inn is in the middle of the village so everything you need is on your doorstep.

Stayed for a few days early January at ultra short notice, service absolutely fantastic and incredibly welcoming. All of the staff couldn't do enough for us. The location is dead centre of the town of Hawes at the beating heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Would recommend the rooms, food and service to all.

Very friendly welcome and comfy traditional country town pub/hotel. Real fires and muddy boots and dogs welcome. The highlights are the local produce food, the ploughman's platter was awesome, the chocolate sponge even better. Breakfast was enough to keep us going all day! Great Yorkshire hospitality, nothing fancy just homely. Ab Fab !!

Stayed for one night. Anne and team were great, from quick and efficient check-in, a clean and spacious room, free WiFi, and a great pub for relaxing and dinner. The lamb dinner was one of, if not the best I've had. I would recommend to anyone, and will certainly stay here again if I have the chance to come back... More

It looked promising, but looks can be deceiving. Popped in for a pint and something to eat. Now I'd walked 26 miles before turning up, so I appreciate I may not be in the best mood, but being sat under a speaker that is pumping out 'very' load music whilst I'm trying to eat was appalling. The situation was made... More

Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry you felt that your evening was ruined by the noise; of course you could have made your feelings known at the time and we would have been able to deal with the problem. We would've been happy to find you a quieter area away from the speakers, in the snug perhaps? We serve... More

Family run pub with bed and great breakfast. Reasonably priced good home made food. Great atmosphere, real ales, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Lots of fab places to visit locally in the beautiful countryside. Can't wait to visit again.

Good traditional food, several cask beers I had a ploughman's lunch with a pint of best bitter. Very fresh, good bread. Rest if family enjoyed theirs. Service friendly and fairly fast given how crowded it was.

We stayed at the Board inn for 3 days & had a great time. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable bed in a large room with a settee. This created a nice sitting room area. The breakfast is superb. Loved the American pancakes. Hawes is a lovely little town to visit - great pubs & loads of good walks nearby.

Four cask ales all in very good condition, tried the other pubs in the town but the beers were not in as good order. The food was good and the portions just right for our average appetites. Only down side for me was just too many dogs to absolutely relax. One dog or even two per couple but three is... More
