Visited here on a number of occasions as part of a night out. It's always a friendly place to have a drink and a meal. The local beers are well worth a try as they are excellent. I've eaten here on a number of occasions and there's an excellent choice of meals which are good value. WiFi and tvs. Great... More

I had a lovely time, stayed for four nights. It was a proper treat, fabulous breakfasts, nice room, very tastefully decorated. Overlooking the street not the valley but hey ho, you don't spend that long gazing out of the window. Quite good attention to detail - there's a fridge which I always appreciate. A mattress topper and lovely quality bedding... More

We've just returned from a nights stay here at The Fountain, it was a family trip, 3 couples in total & I must say I was impressed. We stayed in room 10 a lovely room with everything you need & quite simply the comfiest bed I've ever slept in, so much so I asked the lovely lady at reception where... More

Only stayed one night, no issues what so ever enjoyed. Clean, great location very helpful staff. English breakfast good served early as requested. Hawes is well worth a visit, shops, walking, cycling. Thank you for a great stay, see you again.

We were only in the hotel for a meal, but there were fifteen of us. The food was varied for all who were eating, and it was hot, well presented, and served in a friendly manner. Would call again when we are in the area.

Very friendly pub which is right in the centre of the village. This seems to be the local pub where everyone migrates to , this is our third visit and we have always been made to feel welcome by Mandy and Angus- the owners - and the locals as well ,nice food if you fancy a bite with your pint.... This place offers a fair selection on its menu - not huge but a reasonable enough choice. Very good value pub food served piping hot by nice staff and plenty of it. Every eating establishment in Hawes is always busy these days and this is no exception but as well as the front pub area it has an extensive back... More

Given the town centre location, I was surprised that this hotel was so cheap. Was there a catch? None that I could find! Check in was swift, but the interior was like a maze. The room was very slightly run down, but was comfortable, with a bath in the ensuite. I had a view of the main Street, but it... More

Stayed for two nights over spring bank holiday. On the first afternoon/night ended up staying the bar watching football on to. The real ales were kept to perfection, especially enjoyed the Wensleydale pale ale. 2nd night had a lovely steak & ale pie. Hotel has a great location in the centre of Hawes giving easy access to the rest of... More

Adequate accommodation for the price. Basic bedrooms and bathrooms. Provided stabling for our bikes as requested which was very good. It was the only accommodation with enough rooms for a large group in Hawes (12). Beer was good and the food was fine. The best thing was the idiosyncratic breakfast chef-cum-waiter. He recommended that we tackled Black Tan hill on... More
