You won't find a nicer, more helpful couple than Wendy and Gareth anywhere. They go the extra mile to make sure their guests are happy and well catered for. There is nothing - absolutely nothing - to criticise and much to commend. We found our room and bed very comfortable and the breakfasts would do justice to any five-star hotel. Not only is the choice as comprehensive as anyone could want, it is beautifully prepared and plentiful and served promptly with a smile. And as for cleanliness, the place is spotless. It's also tastefully furnished and decorated. The guest house is close to the town centre and the sea front and is in a very quiet street away from any noise. For those unfamiliar with Filey, it's a small, attractive seaside town with a lot to offer. If you're looking for a quiet seaside getaway, I would recommend the Forge Guest House without any hesitation. It's a real Home From Home!…

Although we have visited Filey many times, this was our first time staying at The Forge. Wendy made us very welcome, our room was lovely and warm and very clean. The breakfasts were really great too, my husband enjoyed the traditional cooked breakfast, I really enjoyed the waffle with fresh fruit. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Second time here and can't fault it in any way. Wendy and Gareth are lovely friendly people always smiling. Room 4 is perfect, so comfy and has everything you need. The breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day.

Just come back from a weekend stay at The Forge. We are four couples who meet up once a year for a weekend at different places in north England and this year was our first visit to Filey. The weather was excellent and what made it special were our hosts, Wendy and Gareth. They are so friendly and the rooms and the breakfasts are simply superb. We obviously had never been to their guesthouse before but if we ever stay in Filey again in the future there's only one place to choose. Fantastic!

Just had an excellent three night stay at The Forge. Wendy and Gareth are exceptional hosts, the breakfasts are marvelous both in quality and variety and our room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at The Forge.

Another lovely stay at The Forge, Wendy &Gavin are fabulous hosts. Thanks for the great breakfasts Gavin, poached eggs perfect. Room as always very clean , & we requested no duvet & Wendy provided us with a throw. Nice touches which make the weekend very enjoyable. Top hotel. Could not fault any thing. Very nice couple. Very good breakfast. Room had everything we needed. First choice when we go to Filey again. Good weekend with the food festival just round the corner.
