A Class Act This hotel does not fail, from the reception to the rooms the restaurant to lounge, everything is first class. We spent two super nights, lovely rooms, first class food for dinner and what a treat to be "served breakfast" instead of a self service rush. The White Lodge has to be the premier hotel on the east coast.

Lovely hotel and beautiful location. However to maintain standards there is room for improvement. Reception staff are friendly but on checking in there was no-one helping with bags or really assisting at all. Ate in the restaurant one evening - meal was ok - had chicken - nothing special. Breakfast - no staff directing guests to tables - service poor and not welcoming at all. Food adequate but poached eggs and toast cold. Staff could benefit from training as cereal dishes not removed from table when breakfast was brought out - our table ended up with plates piled up and no room for cups. Also as guests left after finishing breakfast one member of staff cleared the table and just brushed crumbs off onto chairs and floor - followed by placing a bucket on the table and proceeding to clean the table. Very poor standards - at least use a spray not a bucket. And no- one asked if everything was ok and did we require anything further. Attention to detail is important and guests expect this when paying these prices.

A really nice hotel. The room, public areas, bars and restaurant were all beautifully presented, clean and tidy. The staff were all spot on and eager to help. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was top rate. The food was excellent with a good choice of dishes. The mussels in white wine sauce were some of the beast I have ever tasted. I would certainly recommend it.

I stayed at the White Lodge Hotel in Filey for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is on the seafront, the room was immaculate with very comfortable beds, and white cotton sheets. The food was amazing; excellent full English with real sausages and think bacon and the dinner menu was excellent with a good wine selection! Finally, the staff were a pleasure and greeted us by name and were always on hand and eager to please. We will be coming back again this summer.

Great size rooms, beds very comfortable, breakfast delicious and the staff were superb. Good location as a short walk away from the main streets which means it is slightly quieter which is great. Meant parking. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

What a brilliant weekend , from start to finish. Greeted by friendly staff and shown to our spotless, well appointed room with superbly comfortable bed. The bar area was comfortable, well stocked and very reasonably priced. Breakfast and evening meal first class. Met the owner , a real character and gin distiller, try the Filey gin .. If you fancy visiting this Yorkshire sea side town, the White Lodge is the place to stay

We stayed overnight at the White Lodge and it was fantastic from arrival to departure - the staff are brilliant and very very helpful. All the facilities, from room to dining area to hotel bar right through to breakfast area is all first class - lots of local brewed ales and gin - particularly look out for the Filey Gin from Dave who is on the bar - it’s superb . Truly the best place to stay in Filey - thank you - Neil & Caroline👍🏻🏏

My wife and I stayed here this weekend Saturday 5th January until Monday the 7th. As soon as we walked through the door we was greeted and made to feel very welcome straight away. Our room was room 25 and wow it was beautiful with 3 double windows over looking the beautiful bay. The bed was huge and everything was fantastic. Had a meal in the restaurant on the Saturday night and that was well cooked and all the team was so professional and friendly. Had a few drinks in the bar and was served by the barman who’s knowledge about the drinks was phenomenal. Breakfast next morning was unbelievably good. Everything about our stay was out of this world. Can’t wait to book again soon. Thank you to all the team

We first stayed here in November 22 but sadly the visit was spoilt by other very loud and discourteous guests and a not so helpful night porter. However the way the Manager, Dean, handled our complaint was excellent. We can't fault him for his attitude, professionalism and excellent communication. Which ensured we revisited again this week. Stunning location, beautiful room, fantastic food and excellent service! We'll definitely keep coming back. The staff couldn't do enough for us and had an excellent sense of humour with the n'ice bucket too haha Thank you all, for all your help. An easy 5 stars.
