Well, what can we say? Another fantastic stay. We love this hotel, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Loved the room, spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the garden. We have stayed here many times and we are always drawn back. So hopefully, when this dreadful pandemic slows down and we are allowed - we will see you all again!
First time we have stayed at Grinkle Park and we have discovered a lovely hotel off the beaten track. So quiet and the bedrooms are huge! We managed to book in before lockdown and the Manager was super in making us feel at home and a valued guest. We had the Dinner B&B package which was excellent value. Dinner and breakfast were served in a large yet cosy feel restaurant with plenty of spacing between guests. In fact that is what is so good about the hotel. You have large rooms with plenty of space to feel comfortable. The grounds are extensive so you really do have the best of everything especially with it being so close to Saltburn and the Yorkshire coast.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here and yet again Grinkle Park didn’t disappoint. We stayed under a dinner, bed and breakfast package, and the food was sublime as ever. Really hearty, fresh cooked breakfast, and a small but absolutely delicious dinner menu each evening. Our room was a deluxe double, clean and comfortable with a lovely spacious bathroom and a beautiful view of the grounds. A fantastic selection of teas and coffees to choose from in room (a real plus point for me; I definitely needed a peppermint tea or two after indulging in the fabulous dinner!), and fresh bottled water too. The weather wasn’t amazing but we fitted in a trip to Whitby (about 20 minutes away) and a long walk around Guisborough forest. The overwhelming thing for me at Grinkle Park both times we have stayed is the staff. A small team who are genuinely friendly and who really want you to have a wonderful time. They cannot do enough to help you. It makes such a difference to feel really welcomed to a hotel and that you aren’t being a burden to them! We even had our room cleaned and tidied after our first night of staying unlike every other place we’ve stayed since Covid hit! Covid measures were followed strictly and we felt safe and looked after from the moment we stepped into the foyer. A few points to think about maybe for if they are thinking of refurbishment at any point- we stayed in a double room which had a double bed. Being used to a king at home both my husband and I struggled to sleep which was a shame (but no fault of the hotels, the bed was extremely comfortable!). The rooms are big enough to accommodate a king in the double rooms and this is fairly standard in most hotels of this class now, especially in a ‘deluxe’ room. We stayed in a suite last time and the bed was simply enormous- we would definitely upgrade to this next time for the extra space! The shower too was a little underpowered, although this may be to do with the water pressure! Overall we love staying here and will definitely be back again. We have recommended Grinkle Park far and wide! Thank you for another wonderful stay. …
Our stay was lovely, the staff were friendly. the rooms were clean and very comfy it was nice to have good clean bathroom if the weather had been nicer we would of enjoyed a walk around the grounds. thank you everyone xx
The grounds were lovely and the room was spacious but would have benefitted from some more grandiose furniture to fill the room, the bed and bedding was extremely comfy. The food was on the bland side, I had the pate for starters, and pork for main, the black pudding was dry and there was no apple sauce with the pork. The profiteroles were really good. I would stay at Grinkle park again given the option but I for me it lacks a spa facility.
