We chose this hotel as it was in the general area that we wanted to be and because it was dog-friendly. There are two deluxe dog rooms and two smaller standard ones, all near each other on the first floor, the lowest of the the bedroom floors., nearest the stairs to go down and out. We were in Azalea, a very large deluxe with large bed, views to two sides and very quiet. The grounds were also large, plenty of space to wander around. with the dog. Everywhere is dog-friendly except for the main restaurant, but the conservatory is lovely to eat in with the dog at breakfast and evening meal, with a great view overlooking the gardens. Yes, you can get forgotten about sometimes in the conservatory, but there does seem to be a limited number of staff, even the bar man has to be a waiter sometimes but it didn't happen often. We ate there for 4 evening meals, a different menu each night, and given that I have quite a few allergies, they were happy to accommodate changes if I'd needed them to do so. The staff were very friendly. Not all networks worked here (and they don't have a secure wifi) but it is in the middle of nowhere, so I would expect that - we didn't have to go that far away to get a phone signal. The local mast was burnt down a few weeks ago so the TV wasn't really usable, however, we were on holiday so we weren't there to watch it particularly so it wasn't a problem for us.

I have just returned from a week at this hotel and I can’t falt it the food was fantastic every night. The staff were always pleasant and polite. Bedroom clean, it’s in a good position for the moors or the coast. I would recommend this hotel and will be returning and look forward to it.

Just booked in to Grinkle Park Hotel Booked through hotels.com The tea tray is absolutely filthy. There are cobwebs on the ceiling. Booking confirmation is for a Deluxe Double room. Facilities to include flat screen TV with premium channels. The TV is impossible to watch. Spoke to management and was told none of the TV's are working due to a fire at the TV mast at Bilsdale and they are working on it. That fire was on 1OTH AUGUST ... THAT WAS 6 WEEKS AGO! AND NOBODY INFORMED US Now stuck in a mediocre room overlooking the car park with no Television Disgraceful

Rooms not cleaned to a good standard dust webs in rooms carpets not hoovered dead and live flies galore in room. Stayed in deluxe. Misrepresented n pictures as room has sloped ceilings and is compact furnishes very dated. Hotel clearly lacks investment or good management. Food was of a good quality. Was booked for two nights checked out after one. Says of all

Champagne Afternoon Tea with a great choice of sandwiches. The scones and cakes were delicious and there were so many we brought the remainder home. Lanson champagne was also very good. The staff were all polite & attentive. The suroundings are stunning. All the tableware and linen was spotlessly clean.
