Without exception the friendliest, professional and most helpful staff. While the bedroom decor was slightly dated the rest of the hotel was furnished to a high standard. Comfortable bed and room serviced daily. The menu was varied and catered for all tastes.

The management and staff go out of there way to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the room I had was speciose very quit, excellent food and surroundings. Deer and pheasants are walking in the grounds in a natural setting. The facility to dine in the grounds in warmer weather would be very attractive

I enjoyed a wonderful High Tea with my family, the sandwiches were tasty, the cakes were fresh and yummy and the scones were light and fluffy. We couldn’t ask for better service, the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were given time to decide which of the lovely sandwiches we would like and of course we tried them all and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed being looked after and the presentation of the setting and the room was what we expected of this quality establishment.

The hotel was fabulous everything was good food wine and the staff are amazing really friendly and helpful We took our two dogs and the dog friendly room was very large and in a quiet part of the hotel not that it’s a noisy hotel it’s small and quiet in great grounds for walks and only 10 mins to Runswick Bay a great find we will be back The dogs were treated to a sausage each every morning so they were happy 👍 A perfect break to recharge batteries

We decided to go to Grinkle Park as a treat for me for my birthday. My husband and our cockapoo were also part of of the holiday. The hotel is beautiful surrounded with a lovely garden which was great for our pooch, although it was best to keep her on the lead. Thanks to a special email as we are part of the Privilege Club we got a free upgrade for a deluxe room which was really worth it, the room is very big. The staff were absolutely lovely night and day, the food was ok breakfast could have been better. We will for sure will go back again it was a very relaxing break away. There is a lovely snooker table in the bar area which we played every night, however if you are a player bring your own snooker queue as the ones in the hotel have no tips appart from one. The location is ideal to visit the coast and the stunning abbayes around.

Great hotel in a lovely setting with very friendly, helpful staff and excellent food. The rooms are well appointed and are well maintained. Highly recommended for a tranquil break. The snooker table available to guests is great but let down with cues with no proper tips!

Our third stay at Grinkle Park. Always a pleasure. Friendly attentive staff. Well presented delicious evening meals in the Conyers Restaurant and tasty breakfasts too. The public areas are tastefully decorated with lots of comfortable seating areas. The bedrooms are always clean and comfortable but may be ready for some redecoration. We will definitely be returning.

We were attending a wedding at the hotel and stayed in Gatekeeper’s lodge for 4 nights Absolutely perfect! Weather was kind and we managed to use the hot tub which was bliss Beautiful area, pheasants walk past, can hear owls at night Every member of staff we came into contact with were friendly and extremely helpful from Richard the GM and everyone else too We will visit again and look forward it 😊

Understand listed building but nice if windows were easier to open for ventilation Understanding the reason for refillable soap dispensers the fact that they are fixed to the wall can be a little difficult for those with mobility issues Found out on departure that bathmats were available to help with poor mobility issues.
