Built in 1906, with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall is at once grand and stately, warm and welcoming. Owned by the Dugdale family until 1977, the hall has played host to politicians, courted royalty and delighted socialites over the decades. Yet despite moving in stately circles, the house has stayed true to its roots as a place of entertainment and relaxation. Now it is yours to explore. Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our 37 bedrooms (17 of which have recently been refurbished following a £4 million restoration of the Hall's East Wing), plan your perfect day and take over the hotel for your wedding or inspire your delegates with our meeting facilities.

We visited for afternoon tea. The food was of excellent quality. The staff kept us amused by their antics, they appear to have taken lessons from Faulty Towers. Service was slow, but despite this it was an enjoyable experience.

Dear Bob, Thank you for choosing to take afternoon tea here at Crathorne Hall. I am so pleased that the food was excellent and that you enjoyed your experience. I am obviously concerned about our service reminding you of Fawlty Towers, whilst very amusing, I have personally never identified any of Basil or Manuel's qualities in our team here. If you would kindly contact me directly so I can investigate that would be very constructive. Regards Elizabeth

Dear Mr Benson, Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us and for taking your time to write such a lovely detailed review of our beautiful Crathorne Hall! I am absolutely delighted that you took your time and had the courtesy to chat to and remember the names of some of our wonderful team members. Kenny was happy to have been mentioned on TripAdvisor; finally, after all these years! It has only taken 40. Your stay sounds perfect, I think I will have to give it a try! Thank you once again, your praise, recognition and thoughtful review is a very positive message to our team and hopefully other readers! We look forward to welcoming you back to Crathorne Hall again soon. With best regards Elizabeth
