Visited here today with my husband for a late Valentines meal and we weren't disappointed.... A lovely traditional Dales pub which is full of character.... A warm welcome awaited us and we ordered drinks and asked for a menu, we were offered a choice of seating areas, but chose to eat in the bar near the fire.... The menu made...

This is a very quaint and cosy hotel. Food was lovely and after a day walking round the falls what could be better than relaxing in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine !! The hosts were extremely friendly and rooms spotlessly clean. Just a stone throw away from the lovely villages of Hawes and Leyburn. Would...

Stayed here while heading for Edinburgh. Lovely welcome when we arrived, room was really nice and spacious with a 4 poster bed. Dinner was really nice, responsible price for area. While we were here we popped to the falls as well, worth the few minutes drive. Overall very happy with our stay here

Stayed for one night in late Nov. Booked the previous day online for £78 for very comfy double room, despite being told on the phone that there was only one double room left (there were three available online) and it was £90!!! Olde Worlde pub, with lots of quirky character and very welcome log fire in the bar. Nice room...

We stayed for one night. The bedroom was modern, comfortably furnished and of an adequate size. Theb athroom was hotel rather than pub standard. Breakfast was very good. All in all good value. We were able to have our dog with us, though had to eat with him in a small corner of a separate room (reasonable enough, we thought)....

This review is a bit overdue to say the least but I'm using some unscheduled "downtime" to catch up on my reviewing! My wife and I stayed here back in August en route between Northumberland and Wales on the return leg of a two week motorcycle tour of the Scottish Borders, North East England and Wales. As it says in...

My wife and I were starting out on a driving tour of Scotland. We rented a car at Liverpool airport and en route to Glasgow we took a side trip to Askrig and Aysgarth to see a bit of the countryside that the TV series "All Creatures Great & Small" was based in. We stayed overnight at the George and...

I chose this old inn from others available on line and was very pleased with the choice -easy to find and to park. We had a comfortable room and enjoyed a really outstanding dinner in the restaurant - not cheap but very good quality and all imaginatively presented. The only negative was that the Mira shower was difficult to control....

We booked this hotel to attend a family wedding at nearby Bolton Castle. On arrival we were allocated room two. First impressions were that the room décor was a bit tired and a bit shabby. However the centrepiece of the room was a splendid four poster bed and the bathroom was large with a good shower and spotlessly clean. On...
