Lovely modern rooms. Have everything you need. Breakfast can be delivered to your room on request. Very nice bathroom with a big bath. Downside for me personally was that the matress was very firm meaning my back was pretty knackered this morning. Lovely setting shame about the new extension which was in no way in keeping with the original building...

We have stayed here before and the location has always been good bthough the breakfast was iffy last time due to it being a buffet style. This time it was personal service as we have also experienced and the contrast could not have been greater. Everything was spot on. The room was nicely presented, clean and had all mod cons...

Driving up to the hotel, it looks quite impressive, but once inside it looks a little tired and the layout is a bit weird. After checking in, we went to the bar for a drink but there isn't really a lounge for you to sit and relax in like most hotels - the bar is in the restaurant bit and...

Well I am honestly impressed with the level of service and food . We stayed and did the valentines night with food which was absolutely outstanding. I am gluten intolerant and the menu choice for me was amazing and they more than went out there way to cater for me . We will definitely be returning to all the team...

We stayed overnight so that we could dine at the Comfy Duck- First Impressions - the hotel building is quite grand from the outside unless you consider the ghastly extension built on the front. Inside the first impression was the overwhelming food smell- not pleasant at all. Reception - it was quite impersonal and certainly not welcoming. The receptionist seemed...

We stayed here over the weekend for a works dinner dance. The room was decorated beautifully with use of 2 bars. The food served was absolutely delicious. Piping hot, huge portions and tasted devine. The rooms I found to be quite small, but comfortable for a 1 night stay. I would have preferred a king size duvet on the double...

If you have to stay near Grimsby, this is it. Rooms clean tidy and functional. It is a Victorian pile that could do with a re-think on the decor and the brick extension housing most of the bedrooms is a car crash. However, really good staff and the food is very much better than a similar appearance, Very safe for...

Attended the Oaklands Hotel for its Gin 'n' Jazz evening, consisting of a two course meal that was pre-ordered, a gin cocktail and an evening of jazz. All looked well as we entered the Garden Room, took our cocktails and our seats, and waited for proceedings to begin. And waited, and waited. The gin 'n' jazz evening was made up...

Stayed at this Hotel a few times with work, however this time I was allocated room 20, now being a best western Diamond select member you should get you an upgrade without asking if there are any available. When it came time to sleep I was shocked to hear what sounded like a compressor or air con unit outside the...

I find Best Western a bit 'hit or miss', and this one was a hit. A nice hotel and a nice room. Dinner was too pricey for my expenses but breakfast was very nice. My sheets were dirty (looked like a laundry error) but they were changed with no fuss and they were very apologetic.
