We ate there on a Saturday night, with reservation. The pub was busy and service a bit slow at the bar but once we had ordered, we were served promptly. Staff were polite and pleasant. The choice of dishes is great. The dishes were good and flavoursome and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was friendly. We were not staying... More

Stayed here on business. Rooms were clean and well stocked with everything I needed and more. Friendly staff, in particular a lovely gentleman who was there evening & early morning for our breakfast- really attentive and very friendly. Food was lovely and reasonably priced, small but varied evening menu and plenty for breakfast.

We were a large group of 12 plus a baby and all needed a place to eat on our final day altogether on our holiday. We turned up with no booking and the waitress was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived for lunch and the choice was vast. All meals £8.95. The lasagne was huge and... We stayed as we were attending a wedding reception at the village hall. Our room was smallish, BUT, immaculately clean, and perfectly big enough for the two of us ( & the husband is 6'6"). Had the most comfy bed in the world. The fact that the rooms are not in, or above, the actual pub, gave it more of... More

We booked all four rooms for a night in the country. The rooms were cosy, well appointed, clean and very comfortable - great value for money. The pub itself was great. Mick the Landlord was very accommodating and made us feel completely at home, even though we were burning the midnight oil and the only patrons left till the wee... More

Looked like a good, traditional village pub, but we didn't get the chance to find out. Despite being the only pub in this rural Vale of Belvoir village, we were informed by the staff that they do not allow dogs on the premises. There was a carpeted dining room, and we fully understand any reticence to encourage dogs into this... More

We arrived almost too late for Sunday lunch but were allowed to order, though one of the waitresses seemed a bit put out and said we should hurry up. The lunch was superb, and no problems with gluten-free provision for me. The general ambience was lovely; wish we had somewhere like this near home! We didn't stay here, so can't... More
