I spent four nights here as a solo guest as I love taking some alone time.
I emailed in advance to request slightly early arrival so I could have lunch and this was arranged with no problem. I arrived at 12.00 and as my room was not ready the receptionist took my bags from me so

I stayed at Champneys as it was recommended by Compusoft where I was on a training course. Prior to my stay I was bombarded with spam emails trying to sell me treatments, so much so I blocked their email address. I was asked several times in reception if I'd like treatments but

I return every six months to Springs with my sisters. We always have the most enjoyable stay. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and the food is excellent. There is a wide range of dishes on the menu in the evenings, and the buffet at breakfast and lunch is both nutritious an

We stayed for the weekend at the beginning of November and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We left feeling thoroughly refreshed. My fiancé actually proposed while we were there, and the staff made the whole experience extremely special.

This place is absolutely dreary. There isn't even a bar, so you can't have a quiet drink with your partner. The spa comprises nothing more than an old swimming pool, a single semi-hottub and a sauna that only seats 4 and was only at 40degC. Its entertaining for an hour at most.

Hi. Thank you for your review on Champneys..i am too a Vitality member and keep thinking about going because of the discount, but really having second thoughts because of all the bad reviews. I only want a day there with a treatment or two, but not sure i even want to pay for that! Is it really as run down as people say? I want somewhere i can really relax in and spend the afternoon snoozing in a haven of peace..this does not fill me with much enthusiasm! lol
Hi JJ B. Yes, Springs really is quite run down sadly, it's not just one or two spots, the whole place felt very tired and unloved. I guess if you go with the understanding that it's a bit shabby you'd be ok maybe, for me it was just the collosal disappointment as I was expecting it to be pretty high end and proper luxury. I definitely wouldn't go there again, it fell well short of my expectations.

Do they have water beds there ? Also are there any quiet relaxation rooms like they have at other champneys resorts ? Thank you
I wasn’t aware of any water beds; however they do have a nice relaxation room with beds in.

How much is membership fees for me and my wife aged 82 and 78 who live locally and would to come and swim and use your gym and have a meal perhaps 3 times a week. Thank you. Brian Mosley
Hello Brian I have a joint membership with a friend. They offer three types of membership depending on the times of day you wish to visit. We have the standard plus which enables us to use the facilities, pool, gymn, classes etc from 6.30 am till 10am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday For this we paid £600 each per year in February of this year . We did not pay a joining fee which if applied is extortionate . The other memberships offered are just 6.30am to 10am Monday to Friday only. This is the cheapest membership The premier membership offers unlimited use from 6.30 am to 10 pm 7 days a week, this is obviously more than the £600 I paid. They regularly have offers on membership fees I live near Coalville . If there is any way I can get in contact with you directly I can let you have details of these next week, but as I am a very silver surfer I don't know if contact details can be given via tripadvisor

Is the use of the spa facilities included in the price and do you have a creche
With regard to the query about a creche. We don't have a creche and the minimum age for our guests is 14 years old. Kind regards Carol
