A friend kindly purchased afternoon tea for my wife and I at Kilworth House Hotel. Whilst the location is beautiful, everything else about the experience was disappointing. The sandwiches were bland, the scones were certainly not fresh, and the cakes old and tired looking.

The word luxury has been misappropriated so often in recent years, with even everyday products given this grand title (luxury toilet tissue!) Also, many hotels anoint themselves as luxurious, when they have merely a thin veneer of excellence. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m as

I'm not sure of your niece's age, but guessing she is an adult I can only say that any visit to Kilworth House is a real treat. The accommodation is of a high standard. The staff are welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. The quality of the food is exceptional. There is so much to enjoy about the house and its grounds before you even consider the entertainment. My wife and I are presently planning our next over-night visit and hope to introduce our dear friends to Kilworth. A real treat.
