I visited this hotel with a number of friends on a walking weekend at Rutland Water. The food was good both the evening meal and the breakfast. The staff were very friendly and couldn't be anymore helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy and great value for money. They have a very large TV In the bar with SKY TV...

Booked last minute for a family Sunday lunch after a family walk. This is the third time we have been in 6 months and was a great experience as always. Food was lovely homecooked and plentiful. My two daughters were made a fuss of by the owner and the atmosphere was great! We will definitely be back soon.

We booked a table for ten for a family get together and had a lovely time. There was a short wait for our table but was soon seated. Everything seemed well organised and the food was great. I am a vegetarian and the chef was good and told me what was cooked in meat juices etc. All the meat eaters...

We spent just one night in the Harboro Hotel in Melton Mowbray visiting family in the area and found it ideal. Situated on the outskirts of an interesting town by the beautiful St Mary's Church. We had a refurbished room with a lovely en suite bathroom (with bath) at the rear of the hotel overlooking a secure private hotel car...

Where to begin booked a one night stay after driving 1 hour 45 mins for a local attraction we were visiting. Placed in a twin room which was fine at the time as all that was available. On navigating the labyrinth of corridors and doors that were so confusing I half expected to see a minotaur pop up along the...

Booked for table of 5 for the Sunday carvery, table was ready when we arrived. Was busy so tends to be a good sign. Not too much wait before being sent up, good selection of Sunday meats - which didn't look dry and tired so good sign of being fresh. Full Sunday trimmings and plenty of fresh cooked veg, again...

Not the most impressive building from the outside but don't let that put you off, inside has been very well refurbished and upgraded. The Sunday carvery was incredibly good value BUT, having been seated, it took nearly half an hour before we were 'allowed' to queue for the carvery. Admittedly the food was fresh and hot with generous servings but...

I've been to this restaurant 5 times now always hoping that things would improve. Every time we have had to wait at least 45-60 minutes to be seated despite having booked a set time. I feel that it is totally unacceptable to have people wait so long that you end up having to go looking for staff who are already...

A great place to stay, so convenient for the town and with secure private parking. We had a warm welcome, stayed in a lovely room that had recently been refurbished. The owners have been gradually upgrading the hotel since they took over 4 years ago: and they are doing a great job. Though busy (obviously popular), our room was quiet...
