This pub with excellent accommodation is perfectly situated for those making the long trip north or south. Just ten minutes from the MI via Kegworth. Wonderful new accommodation and up to the minute furnishings in the pub, where you can enjoy well-cooked meals in a friendly atmosphere. Don't miss it. Also perfect for those going to the airport.

A very pleasant family evening. The menu was varied and provided plenty of choice. The trio of crab starter, was exceptionally good. Interesting and locally sourced ingredients were beautifully prepared and simply presented. Portion size was, for us, just right. The pigeon with lentils and the lamb skewer were delicious. Desserts were very generous portions. The staff were friendly and... More

We booked here for our anniversary, as where we got married had no other bookings and may have been a bit flat! So so pleased we went here! The vibe was buzzing, but without being lively and the food...well! I struggle to find words, it was THAT good! Stunningly delicious and completely faultless! Staff are so welcoming and helpful. This has to be the best Sunday lunch around.. great value for money, service, food. Highly recommended the sharing platter all meat cooked to perfection. And the Eaton mess and chocolate brownie also worth saving room for.

We visited here with friends after hearing good reviews about the food. We weren't disappointed! The decor of the pub is lovely and it is well laid out to cater for a range of dining experiences from bar snacks to the snug to the more formal restaurant area. We chose to eat in the dining area and despite being seated... More

We've been going as a couple but also with family and work for about 4 years now. The foods always been great, and although not the cheapest place we find it good value for money. The service generally is good, and we have on occasion asked for something off the menu and been accommodated. They have a variance in menus... More

You can't get better than this ... honestly! From beginning to end the stay was a total pleasure. Very friendly staff checked us in and showed us to our room which is one of the most spacious I've stayed in recently. Staying at a nearby hotel, we opted to try this eatery following several recommendations. We were made to feel welcome, and the service was excellent. We had the 'Early Doors' menu and were not disappointed. For the price, the quality of the food was excellent. The atmosphere was nice too, it had a typical old English pub feel. If in... More
