it is some time since we have eaten here but once again the food was excellent as was the service and range of real ales in the bar. A good menu with something to suit all tastes and certainly some different choices from our last visit which its always good. Highly enjoyable and recommended.

Had lunch here yesterday and I can say it was fabulous, lovely ambience, clean and well kept. I'm a vegetarian and struggle to find new meals being offered to me, The Royal Oak did this. The meat eaters were also pleased with their meals. I can highly recommend this place, the staff were friendly, very helpful, nothing was too much... More

We had dinner with friends there recently (following many previous visits), and were all delighted by the standard of the food offered. I was particularly happy as the Chef was willing to create a fresh fruit dessert which was not listed on the menu; stylish presentation, delicious fruit, and I was not made to feel a nuisance because of my... Reading all the reviews and listening to local people my husband decided to book in tonight for my birthday. Our first impressions were very good and we settled down to an excellent sharing starter and delicious tuna steaks cooked to perfection. Then it went down hill fast. After 40 minutes wait no one asked if we would like a desert... More

Had lunch here with friends recently but visit regularly, one of my favourite places. Always a great choice on the menu. Lovely relaxed surroundings with helpful attentive staff. The food is always of a high standard. Great for a casual lunch, early bird meal, pie night or a celebration.

This is a gastro type pub with rooms to stay. We were here just for a meal. We were warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our table. The setting is lovely and the tables not to close together. Waitresses and waiters were very attentive but in a relaxed way so not intrusive. The food was delicious and plenty of... More
