Some disappointment on arrival as my husband had booked the room with the four poster bed as it was our 40th wedding anniversary, but told they had given it away to a family of 5!! Given Room 1 which was freezing on arrival. Owners please ask the cleaner to shut the window when she has finished! The bathroom has a...

We stayed at the hotel for one night after a family get together. The room was great - tv, dressing table and wifi in the room. The bathroom was even better with a sauna in room 1. It was all very clean and staff were particularly helpful. Breakfast was also delicious with a full range of cereals, toast (even gluten...

Just arrived at the hotel a couple of hours ago and sitting down to dinner in the lovely conservatory. Partner now wishing she'd chosen my starter (black pudding & mash with a peppercorn sauce) which is delicious rather than her melon. Our room is superb, large and nicely furnished, the almost equally large bathroom has spa bath, shower and sauna!...

The bathroom looked to be fairly new but the shower cubicle could do with a good scrub in between the tiles as the grout was starting to blacken. The tap on the sink was a little dodgy and felt like it was about to break. A good supply of toiletries...

A perfect location when arranging a get together. From my initial enquiry back in May 2015, prompt responses to email queries, excellent varied hot & cold buffet, polite & courteous staff and a warm welcome by the owners making the day perfect. Our party of 15 had a lovely time at Sykeside.

Visited the Sykeside on Sunday for lunch in the conservatory with a group of 22 for a Ruby Wedding celebration. We all had a choice from the normal Sunday lunch menu, £15-95 for three courses. A good selection to choose from, adequate portions and good value with prompt and efficient service throughout. My only complaint was that they had no...

I was looking for a Hotel in or near Rawstenstall, when I noticed the sign to Sykeside Country House Hotel. They had a room for me, I asked to see the room, it was perfect, with an ensuite shower room which appeared to have been recently re-fitted. After a long drive that day it was just what I wanted and...
