Stayed one night for my Nephews wedding, lovely old building steeped in charm, fantastic setting with beautiful views from the sun terrace, could not fault the staff and the food was first class, not the wedding food I have experienced in the past, loved the fact that when the wedding bar closed, then they opened the hotel bar at 1... My partner found this hotel near to where we had some business so we decided to give it a go and had no idea what to expect. I have never before walked into a hotel and said wow. You enter into what is/was the great Hall of this ancient building and it is LITERALLY breathtaking. We were shown into our... More

Came with a friend and had a girly tea in the bar. It was beautiful as always and the bar menu offers a great variety of choice. I noticed the afternoon tea advertised , I have booked to take my mother on Wednesday afternoon and looking forward to it

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at Mitton Hall as part of our Gilden Wedding Anniversary "Tour" around Wales, the West Country and Lancashire. We stayed at 6 wonderful hotels, but Mitton Hall was the clear favourite for both of us. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the "booking notes" on their computer system bore... More

Visited this beautiful hall today with friends as a retirement celebration. It felt fittingly special, and we enjoyed a glass of champagne too. The surroundings are really lovely, and the tea was beautifully presented. The tables are well situated with plenty of space. The food was tasty and varied including a lovely champagne jelly. My only comment would be that... More

Food is always perfect from an imaginative menu . Service also spot on and the atmosphere is normally excellent . Sadly this visit was spoilt completely by the executive chef Mark sitting down on the closest table to ours with his friend and high powered fish salesman . Loud voices continually throughout our meal and now we know everything about... More

Called for Sunday Lunch on our way home from visiting friends and sampled the Sunday Lunch set menu which easily satisfied our requirements. The menu was varied but simple, the food was excellent and the hotel/grounds looked impressive.

A lovely location for a wedding. Stayed in the Princess Suite on our first night. The main room had a large double bed and the ajoining room had two single beds. The room overlooked the driveway so we could see guests arriving for the ceremony which was nice. The staff were friendly and nothing was to much troubĺe. Every request... More

I absolutely love this place. If it's date night, then I recommend booking a table and coming to this place. This place won't let you down. It has a great vibe, good drinks and tasty food. I come here often and I highly recommend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A four star country house hotel providing luxury accommodation at the heart of the fabulous Ribble Valley. Our big idea for bringing this magnificent 15th Century manor house back to life was to take it back to its roots and make it feel like a home again. Somewhere that looks and feels like it belongs to somebody. Stunning interior design and decoration perfectly complement the ancient architectural features to create a contemporary country house hotel. Both effortlessly beautiful and unashamedly romantic. The ambience is quite unique. It is certainly luxurious and feels exclusive but the luxury and exclusivity are open to all. From a relaxing morning coffee or afternoon tea, to lunch or dinner and for everything in between. ... more   less
