Been a few times for Sunday lunch and all I can say is three courses of pure pleasure. Impeccable service , food well presented and truly delicious. Anyone wishing to have a little bit of luxury on a Sunday afternoon/evening should go here. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the whole ambience(nice to stick a posh word in every... More

We picked a lovely sunny day for our first visit for ages to take advantage of having a light lunch on the very comfortable outside terrace/balcony. The friendly waitress took our order for drinks whilst we decided on sandwiches from a very comprehensive menu. I ordered smoke salmon on brown, my wife and friends prawns and tuna all delicious, served... More

Pleasant staff, bar meals mediocre, bedrooms rather curled up round the edges. Breakfast room lovely and great breakfast with good service. The interior in general of this hotel was a mix of different styles which works well. Overall a pleasant stay. On checking out we learned that this hotel is soon to be very demolished and redeveloped which is a real... More

This has been my dad's choice for family meals for sometime. When we have been on previous occasions I have usually found it mediocre. We took him for Father's Day and found the experience terrible! When booking I was asked if we would be having the Sunday or normal menu. I asked whether we could decide on the day and... More

The rooms are very spacios if a bit dated. I had a large room with a new bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant last night which was excellent, you can understand why they continue to achieve the two AA rosette award. A nice and relaxing evening, WiFi very good.

We had Afternoon Tea today and it was really lovely, 4 different types of sandwich, lots of jam and cream for our scones, and lots of cakes. At £ 15 per person it was well worth it. Also a large pot of tea. Thankyou to all at the Pines.

We went to the 80s Experience on Saturday 2nd April 2016 and it was such a fantastic night! I couldn't praise it enough - the organizer who first greeted everyone at the door was perfect for the job - he was very welcoming and also a great entertainer - getting everyone in the mood for the music before the acts... Staff are pleasant and friendly, however the place is a bit dated with decor from the 70's/80's bedrooms are much the same and has a tiny TV on the wall miles from the bed. Could do with a lick of paint inside and out. I'm in a room that overlooks a scruffy courtyard so nothing nice to look at outside.
