Lovely one night stay. Hosts Philip and Sandra were lovely, warm welcome and couldn't do enough for you. We stopped in the Maple Suite, a very large room with en-suite on the front of the property even though it's on a busy road hardly hear any road noise. Breakfast cooked to order, and can do evening meals on request Monday... More

Excellent value for the money, great breakfast, excellent local knowledge, nothing too much trouble. Great spot for the half way point of cycling the Leeds to Liverpool canal as it is literally 200 yards from the canal. We stayed in the annex which was very roomy and the beds were comfy much appreciated after 64 miles in the saddle LOL.... More

Cycling from Liverpool to Leeds on the canal tow path required a half way stopover. Wasn't sure what Clayton Le Moors was going to be like, but this guest house was great. Everything was provided and the accommodation was perfect, really clean and well looked after. The host even locked our bikes up in his Transit van for safety. Brilliant... More

Me and my husband booked here as a very last minute getaway, and the manager in charge (by the name of Robert, I believe), was very accommodating and ensured that our room was ready and suitable for us. The room was quite large, with very comfy beds and a large bathroom. The charge included breakfast, which was of good quality... More

We stayed here after attending a wedding at Howarth Art Gallery and an amazing reception held at Bowley Scout Camp. Our daughter and her husband occupied another of the very well appointed rooms. We were very happy with the room we had; all facilities were as we had expected from the description given on the website, and I would describe this GH as... Clean and comfortable, good shower, accommodating over the dog even though we booked at the last minute. Good breakfast too. Overall very good value. Added bonus was a delightful walk along the canal to some woods starting just a few yards from the door, perfect for walking the dog.

Booked Maple Lodge for a one night stay whilst visiting relatives locally. Did not stay for an evening meal but the room was clean and well equipped - the bottle of water was a nice touch. Breakfast was nice and very filling.

What a fantastic place to stay. We arrived for an overnight stop absolutely drenched following a rain storm. Nothing was too much trouble, our hosts even washed and tumble dried our wet cycling cloths ready for the following days journey! We could not have had for a warmer, friendlier or helpful welcome anywhere. The room was spotlessly clean and very... More
