The pictures are nothing like the rooms. its very old and dated inside (Not the reception or dining area or gym as these are looked after well, but just the rooms are very dated) . The food menu is so extreme, needs more normal everyday food rather then these posh named foods

We visited as part of a coach party travelling with Parrys International. From the moment of our arrival on Sunday 23rd of December, when we were greeted and welcomed by Neil in his Top Hat...to when we left yesterday morning... the Hotel Staff were excellent. Without exception

Returned to the hotel for a two night hotel, whilst the hotel is nice the bar area does become very noisy and if you wish to have a quiet drink the options are limited. Overall I would say the hotel is good, rooms are clean and have all the necessary equipment.

Hello, I haven’t stayed over Christmas but use the hotel a couple of times a year. I haven’t found it to be dirty. The food in the restaurant is good, breakfast is very nice. We had my mother’ Wake there in January 2018. The food was excellent, service couldn’t be faulted, people hung around much longer than expected because everything was so pleasant even under the sad circumstances. Not a Christmas Party, but an event that went down really well thanks to the staff at the hotel. Hope this helps. Samanthalouise

I’ve stayed in a single room on several different occasions. The thing is the hotel has different wings and some are older than others. I think the hotel itself is 700 years old. I’ve found some rooms to feel older than others. But I’ve always felt it was clean
