It was a cold Thursday afternoon when we checked in but the views were gorgeous. We had booked a balcony room, it was breathtaking. The room was well appointed, the bed was comfortable. We ordered room service for dinner, the meal was great. The next day, we had brunch (including the price of the room). The produce were fresh and...

Really lovely hotel, stunning views and a really nice environment inside. There was a nice buzz about it. The food was amazing - the best I've eaten in a restaurant! Staff were really attentive and friendly and were very knowledgeable about the local area. Despite arriving as a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) we were all looked...

spent Easter here. Everything fine. Very few negatives but fair to say that some aspects of cleaning could be improved. Also agree with reviewer about the rough towels. However food was very good and service fine. Had room with balcony which is worth extra. Good location and Tankerton high street has most of what you need. Each weekend the running...

Having stayed at the Marine Hotel about 4 or 5 times now, as a family of 4 ( two daughters aged 6 and 7), we have previously enjoyed a really lovely stay. This Easter week however, was a totally different story. We normally stay in a family room with seaview, which is what we had booked and paid for back...

Have just had a really enjoyable night out at the Marine Hotel, Tankerton with my husband . We went there as I had a Shepherd Neame Birthday Club voucher to use and the hotel is local to me. Chose to sit in the bar lounge looking out at the sea, rather than in the restaurant. The staff were so helpful...

Our room was large, comfortable and well equipped with a balcony and wonderful views across the estuary towards Essex. There were a few issues, but the hotel dealt with them rapidly and efficiently. We happened to visit during unseasonably good weather, so the hotel was extremely busy in the bar and restaurant and the rooms were fully booked. This may...

We visited for a Mothers day brunch with our dog and 5 in the party. Pleased that dogs are received well! We sat for about 20 minutes at a table that had not been cleared or cleaned. Nobody came to take our order. Eventually I went up to find out about ordering. Seems you have to place the order yourself....

Arrived at reception to be greeted by Kirsty. This should have been an indication of what was about to come. She was cheerful and enthusiastic. She quickly realised that at 85 we needed help with luggage. She hoisted bags up to the second floor (40 stairs) and showed us to our room. Could not have been more competent. The food...

This is such a lovely hotel. Our room was over looking the sea so a great view. Room was beautiful but the pillows were very hard I spoke to one of the maids who was very helpful in trying to find me one a little softer if which that managed to do without a fuss. We had dinner in the...
