Great location but...next to a VERY busy bar which had loud music blaring into the early hours. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired and sofas were sagging and uncomfortable. A constantly running tap added to the feeling that the place was not properly looked after.

Really a brilliant venue with stunning views straight out to sea and beautifully decorated inside - and they had thought of everything including champagne glasses, Milk, bottles of water and juice etc - nothing to fault at all - we will be coming back for sure!

I surprised my boyfriend with a 1 night stay in hut number 9 with our 2 springer spaniels. The hut was clean, snug with an enormous comfy bed. Such a great location, with a good selection of eating and drinking options within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel continental was delicious and we were also able to take the... More

Spring in the mattress was sticking out rather painful if not careful. No longer have directors chairs deck chairs rather uncomfortable. Welcome tray had sugar which was stuck to tray and the... We have just returned from renting the Anderson Shed from Hotel Continental for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. Such a fab place - plenty of room for the three of us, beautiful clean linen and all we needed for a relaxing break. I went swimming every day - only needed a towel thrown over my swim suit - and... We stayed in the fisherman hut number six for the main reason it was dog friendly, standards of the hut were fab, just like staying in a hotel but with more space, tea and coffee supplied and also water, juice and fresh milk in the fridge too which was a lovely surprise to processed milk, breakfast was included in our... Location was perfect, and it was great that you were given allocated parking for your hut. We stayed for one night in hut 3 in early September, with our 2.5 year old toddler. Unfortunately, the reference to 'steep staircase' on the website did not translate to what was basically a ladder to the upstairs, and although a travel cot was... More

If you've never been to whitstable this a great place to stay. The location couldn't be better with a fantastic cafe on the doorstep and the sea right in front of you.The huts are quirky, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet . A great choice , and children would love the experience. The internal stairs are very steep and could be... More
