We came to the Bell in late December for a friend's wedding and stayed overnight. We were greeted by friendly check-in staff. We were directed to our room which was upstairs - note there is no lift for anyone unable to use stairs. Once we'd been to the wedding we were bedding down for the night and noticed a couple...

Very well laid out, the Brasserie has an informal atmosphere with a lively vibe. It's pub grub done well at a good price. Staff very attentive, pleasant contributing to making an ideal lunch place. Located by the river with plenty of parking on the quayside which is free in the Winter.

Much about our recent visit to The Bell to celebrate NYE with friends was good. Staff who helped with the booking process were professional and provided a pleasing standard of customer care with a lovely private room being put at our disposal for the second evening of our stay. Staff were accommodating during our stay and were without exception pleasant...

A lovely place to stay during the Christmas break. The hotel is charming and welcoming. Not suitable for disabled people as there are no lifts. Staff polite and smartly dressed. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was ample and tasty. This is the second time we have stayed here. We will be returning...

Without doubt one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Lovely, welcoming, friendly staff. Beautiful building inside and out. Quiet and located in an unspoilt gorgeous town. Very well located both in terms of the town and the Garden of England generally. Parking is largely off site but nearby. In Winter It's free. At other times, I advise you to...

My wife and I spent 2 very comfortable nights in The Bell Hotel whilst visiting relatives in the area. On making the booking I requested a ground floor room, if possible, as I am partially disabled and a "Blue Badge" holder. We received a most hospitable welcome and were informed that my request had been fulfilled. In addition to this...

We stayed here for three nights for Christmas 2016. All meals were included. We chose a superior river view room which was well worth the extra we paid: spacious with dressing gowns included and a lovely view. Christmas lunch was lovely, equalled by lunch on Boxing Day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd read reviews that the hotel corridors...
