We stayed at the hotel for 1 night. We wanted a place close to the train station and the sea - which is the exact location of this hotel. The hotel had typical English seaside atmosphere. Our room was okay, tidy with clean bathroom. People there and especially the owner were very lovely. Only inconvenient thing was the thin walls... More

The past glory of the Nayland Rock Hotel is apparent from the moment you enter.. what a fabulous place and it still has heaps of atmosphere. Our room was clean, with an exceedingly comfortable bed made up with decent, spotless linen and had an equally spotless bathroom with a tiny shower. The room was cosy, despite the 'bracing' weather, and... More

I brought a group of students to stay at Nayland Rock Hotel during a field trip. There was a perfect variety of rooms for us - double, twins and dorm style rooms for groups. Carol the owner couldn't have been more helpful - we had a bit of a complicated booking and she went out of her way to help.... More

I stayed here for one night while working in Margate you can see it was once a great hotel but sadly it's old and tired now the owner makes the place with her cheerful way I was on business so did not book or pay for the room so cannot comment on value for money

For as much as the owner lady and her lovely little black dog can be nice and welcoming, this is defetly a place to avoid. The rating stars compared to the internatinal standards would be barely 1 star. Everything is extremely tired and dirty. I don't think I need to add more

Beautiful views. Great service. Right next to the beach and centre of town. Comfy rooms. Great shower. And reasonably priced. My wife and I loved staying here. The hotel is charming and old-fashioned and feels like a great example of an old British seaside hotel. Lots of atmosphere and quirky charm!

My partner and I recently visited. The town was fully booked and we were lucky to find a room here for a night. However. This is where our luck run out. Pulling up to the run down hotel amid a see of equally run down shops and houses was a little alarming considering the £80 we paid for a room,... More
