We spent three nights here. The approach along a rutted, potholed, gravel track is interesting. The sea views from the garden and the bedrooms include France on a clear day. The bedroom was very comfortable, clean, a touch of shabby-chic in the furnishings. We only had one dinner, but that was memorable. The Guinea Fowl main course was the best... More

Stayed one night. Wished I could have stayed several more. Wonderfully quiet - just the sea, birds, and the occasional sound of lawn mowers on the adjacent golf course and of the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway steam trains in the distance. Very comfortable and well run by owners with great attention to detail. The bed, a four poster... More

I stayed here for two nights with my husband in August. Every part of the stay was perfection. The room was spotlessly clean, airy and bright with a sea view. We stayed in room 4 and although previous reviews have commented on the firmness of the mattress in this room (it really is very firm!) the bed is adorned with... More

There were good things about this hotel but disappointments too in the two nights we have just spent there, The hotel is situated very near to the beach and is peaceful although neither the beach. the area nor the hotel gardens are very attractive. The rooms are spacious and well furnished and it was pleasant to have a drink outside... More

Your positive comments are appreciated but over all your average rating is very disappointing. You mentioned on departure about your dissatisfaction that no fresh fruit was available & I said I had taken your comments on board after explaining that we do provide home poached pears & strewed rhubarb when available. There is home made natural yoghurt along side fruit... More

We stayed here for two nights last weekend, we couldn't believe how peaceful and lovely it was, right on the beach, in the middle of the school holidays but just a few walkers passing by. just the noise of the sea and a few seagulls in the distance. Perfect. We booked late so couldnt get a sea view to start... More

Can't fault anything really. We had a wonderfully comfortable room overlooking the sea with an excellent bed, space for working and a spacious bathroom. A very generous spirit pervades this hotel and this reflects the work and character of the hosts, Lisa and Clint. The public rooms, including the honesty bar and upstairs library are welcoming and comfy. The food... More

We were lucky enough to be taken Romney Bay House Hotel by friends for a mystery birthday treat a week ago. Lisa and Clint, the couple that own the hotel are lovely and made us so welcome (Clint is the chef). The rooms are extremely comfortable and ours had double aspect views of the golf course and the main window... More

Located down a heavily pot holed road, Romney Bay House Hotel is on secluded beachfront property. The hotel is lovely and clean, and there are other rooms to sit in and read a book or enjoy the view, other than your own room. There is also a friendly resident cat. We opted out of the supper instead choosing to eat... More

As you drive towards the Romney Bay House Hotel down the potholed un-adopted road you might have second thoughts as the Hotel is very secluded, by a deserted beach and looks a bit tired. However, once you enter and are greeted by owners and hosts Lisa and Clinton it all starts to look very chic and up market. You will... More

Very sorry not to stay longer. We arrived on a chilly summer's evening where we were greeted with a peaceful and charming hotel overlooking the grey Channel. I would love to return and explore the area more from the base of the Romney Bay House Hotel - a haven of comfort and peace - and a delicious breakfast!
