What a great find. Lovely setting, great surroundings, excellent hosts, great breakfasts, fantastic value for money. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Highly recommend. Many thanks to Joanna & Paul for having such a great weekend break base camp.

Paul and Joanna were very welcoming and helpful hosts and we much enjoyed our conversations with them and our stay in their lovely home. Very peaceful location (the view is wonderful, especially the night sky), comfortable bed, impeccably clean room/bathroom. The steps up were a little steep, but no problem for anyone reasonably able. Breakfast, served in a nice room... More

Dear Steve, we so enjoyed meeting you both and appreciated your sense of humour, requesting a massage no less! I hope by declining we didn't reduce your appreciation of our attempts at giving our best service. Well, it was a first for us to supply your interesting list of dietary needs and at least now we are fully prepared for... More

In all my years of travelling all over the world, this would have to be up there amongst the most appealing bed and breakfast facilities ever. We were only there overnight, more's the pity, but it is beautiful, immaculate, welcoming and I just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Joanna and Paul - it felt like being with... More

Nothing is wrong, everything is right and you make it all so easy for us, you are so appreciative. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both and hope you both have a wonderful summer. We had a lovely, bright double room in the converted oast house with long distance views over the weald. If you're looking for a trouser press, mini bar etc. this is not the place for you, but if you're after a completely relaxing break where you are made to feel like old friends or one the family, enjoying a beautiful... Everything you need from a B+B - easy parking, warm welcome (including a good cuppa!), clean bright quiet room, pretty views of the Kent countryside, plenty of hot water and a full English breakfast (complete with eggs from the owners' chickens - can't get fresher than that!). Joanna and Paul were friendly and chatty, without being 'in your face' and... More

Very welcoming and comfortable B&B in a glorious setting run by delightfully friendly and accommodating hosts. Saved us at the last minute from camping in the freezing rain. Lovely quiet and private room with beautiful views over orchards and the Kent countryside at the top of this large characterful house. Delicious sausages for breakfast set us up perfectly for the... Our two delightful guests! We were thoroughly charmed and so pleased to meet you both. We and our other guests, who also enjoyed your company, wondered and speculated on your camping experience the following night. We were fascinated to hear about your experiences with the netting and the non-reactions of the birds. We hope your shelter was intact and all... More

We were a group of three girlfriends requiring a one night stay in the area in order to visit Bedgebury Pinetum. From the first time I phoned to book and spoke to Jo I felt confident we had chosen well with Dodges Oast. She and her husband Paul were the warmest hosts you could wish for and we were truly... On the way from our holiday in the Cotswolds we wanted to visit Scotney Castle before taking the ferry in Dover the next day. Probably the nicest B&B experience I've ever had mainly down to the owners who were so friendly, helpful and generous going out their way to make your stay enjoyable. Stayed here with a view to cycling to the Pinetum. Bit of a hilly trek but doable if you cycle regularly. Only 2 rooms but it's lovely and quiet down a... More

It was built on the top of a hill and has panoramic views of the surrounding countryside to the North, East and West.In a peaceful rural location but only 2 miles to the mainline railway station Marden, less than an hour to London, Charing Cross. There are still some to be seen growing locally. Our home has historically only dried one season's hops. Our bed and breakfast rooms are newly refurbished and comprise one double and one twin bedroom both with en-suite shower rooms. The bedrooms have dual aspect windows allowing guests to gaze out at the far reaching views of the countryside. RATES £80 if staying for 1 night only otherwise £70 per night.
