Had a terrific taster menu meal. Hearty fresh food, wonderful selection, although the chicken liver was a bit strong for me! Fantastic cheese board too. Room was fine with huge bathroom and nice view over patio area. I was left a bit annoyed next morning at breakfast, we sat down and I was asked if I wanted a cooked breakfast... More

I can only start by saying I adore this place. Having returned from another visit I can only say that It never fails to exceed the memory of the first (or subsequent) visit. The rooms are amazing and decadent, and the food is stunning. We started with an aperitif on the terrace Moved into the restaurant for the taster menu... More

We decided on a trip to Kent and a visit to Oare Marsh for our anniversary and to have lunch at Reads something we have been meaning to do for some time. The beautiful old Georgian Manor house was packed with dinners which is always a good sign for what is to come. The whole three course set lunch with... More

The four poster room was well furnished and even had a decanter of sherry in the room. There was a pantry (small kitchen) on the landing for residents to use to make a cup,of tea or take a drink from the honesty bar. Breakfast was excellent. We had the tasting menu for dinner which was also excellent.

Our previous visit to Read's was many years ago at their last premises and a return was long overdue. Maybe the cooking was a bit sharper last time (I remember exactly the food we had and the lovely Pommard we drank) but this was like seeing an old friend after a long absence. The Manor is a splendid old building... More

My husband and I stayed just for one night as we arrived for a birthday party. The room was spectacular! Fabulous room size with a sitting area and ever so comfortable bed. Everything amazingly decorated in English style with a lot of taste. We had a cheese platter as a bite to eat in our room and it was great.... More

Having dined twice before, we decided to try staying overnight. It gave us the chance to totally unwind and sample the tasting menu. I glanced at the a la carte menu and could have eaten everything! The tasting menu was delicious and the portions were just right. We chose a very reasonably priced Chassagne Montrachet that was superb. The room... More

Beautiful house with pleasant garden, positioned on the main road into Faversham but not noisy. Expensive but value. We treated ourselves to the tasting menu with wines and for a special occasion it hit the mark. I haven't tried their rooms as I live within walking distance! But I thoroughly recommend the restaurant and imagine the rooms are as good!

Went with friends on their second wedding anniversary. 2 years ago at their wedding first trip to Reeds. Seventh visit to Reeds stayed overnight. Taster menu with wine very good. Service excellent as usual. Left something behind in bedroom. They kept it and I was able to reclaim this expensive item a few days later. Reeds is the best restaurant... More
