We booked a room at The Five Bells to take a break after a long day in France. The pub/B&B is convenient to the Dover Ferry and we were able to get there fairly quickly was we returned to the UK. Parking is a little difficult, as it is on street or in a lay-by across the street, but the...

We stayed here for a couple of nights early January. Very clean, warm bedrooms. Parking is a bit hit or miss. Staff were very polite. Food menu in the restaurant was very good and great value for money. The garlic mushrooms and steak were cooked to perfection!. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

A sad occasion as we are here for a special old friend of mines funeral. The apartment appealed as you get more room for your money, plus it was close to our friends house! The apartment is in a little courtyard near the pub, nice sized rooms, clean and tidy. I would suggest a few things, a coffee table by...

My partner and I stayed at The Five Bells for three nights at the beginning of November. We are golfers and we'd entered a three day competition locally, with early tee times, so cannot comment on breakfast as we didn't eat at the hotel. Starting with the positives, our room, though small, was adequate, with tea and coffee making facilities,...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst we renewed our visas for the Uk. We arrived on Saturday night to a Halloween/karaoke night which looked to be a lot of fun. As we were tired we did not join in but staff and clients were all dressed up and buffet food was available to eat. We were invited...

Over night stay before catching early morning ferry to France. About 15 minutes drive to the port of Dover. Room and ensuite was very pleasant and clean. TV and coffee making facilities in room, hair drier available from bar downstairs. No body wash or shampoo in bathroom. Food served in bar to 9pm, including quite a few vegetarian options, reasonably...

It's 4:30 am. I'm laid wide in one of the Five Bells apartments that is situated off the courtyard, opposite the restaurant, in one of the most uncomfortable, hot, small beds I've ever laid in, I thought now would be a good time to write a review. I'll start with the positives first:- 1. Upon first entering I can't help...

Stopping here the night before we sailed to France only 10 min drive to the port Room was a bit small but for 1 night was fine Staff were great even at 10pm when our son was sick all over the bed. They could not do enough to help get clean bedding and put our mind at ease. Food was...

We stayed here at the weekend , this hotel has just changed management three weeks ago. Tracey and her team were fantastic hosts, they made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had both breakfast and evening meals at the five bells and enjoyed both. We would recommend staying...
