Popped in here whilst staying in Deal, was quite late Sunday (about 3pm) but luckily they were still serving lunch. Both chose the chicken which were big pieces of chicken breast served with roast potatoes, stuffing ,pig in blankets, Yorkshire pudding & a selection of 3 vegs.have to say it was very tasty. Unfortunately couldn't eat a desert as the... More

I visited the Port Arms for a light lunch. It is very popular and busy on a summers day. The problem with eating solo is finding a place to sit, then when you do, you have to negotiate going inside and to order food, losing your table to others wanting to sit outside too. A group of 4 had taken... More

Great food and lovely location then when youve eaten you can either sit inside or out with a cold drink. A stroll along the beach is just across the road. Great secure place for kids to play just outside the pub. Well worth a visit. The Sunday lunch is awesome too

Lovely spot on the front in deal with plenty of benches. Although we didn't eat the food looked and smelled good. Waited about 20 mins to be served drinks as only one barmaid on and she was rushed off her feet. Worth a visit for sure as looks like the evening entertainment is good.

Firstly, the lady behind the bar did not know what a St Clements was. I don't blame her at all, but I do question her training. Secondly, we had to wait 45 minutes for our meal, which we were not warned about. Food nothing special. My husband was not keen on his burger, I was not too keen on the... More

We simply dropped in for a drink at the open air patio but decided to stay for food.Thai mussels wete exceptional and the delux burger far too big to finish .It was really good service even though the footy was mediocre !

Although the pub was empty they were... More

Visited The Port Arms for the first time.........and the last. Waited an hour for our food and the pub wasn't even busy and the meals ordered were not more than snacks so can't see why they took so long. Ordered a simply Panini which came out cold so I asked for it to be toasted, 15 minutes later it came... More

Chose this pub for a quick beer to avoid the Shepherd Neame monopoly that East Kent towns suffer. It may be okay for a lager but the ale was dreadful. Tasted the guest ale and it was off, vinegar tasting, so opted for London Pride, lets face it no pub can have (its only) two beers off at the same... More
