I was not a fan of B & B's until I visited the Welsh Hills Inn. My impression changed from the minute we arrived at the property until we left. Wrigley (one of the resident dogs) greeted us at the car and led us to the entrance. The room was spectacular and the amenities in the room and throughout the entire facility are first class. Bobbie and Jeff make you feel like you are visiting long time friends. We will defintely return and recommend this to friends. This is truly a five star plus experience.
My husband and I had the privilege of staying at the Welsh Hills Inn for two nights this past March. We were long overdue for a few days of relaxation away from jobs and kids— and our stay was exactly what we needed. Bobbi and Jeff are amazing hosts who make you feel right at home as soon as your walk through the door. We stayed in the Brynmor suite, which was spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Bobbi and Jeff had great suggestions for restaurants and activities in the surrounding area, but we also found ourselves really enjoying our time spent at the Inn itself. We read by the fireplace, enjoyed an amazing selection loose leaf teas, sat on the porch looking over the beautiful property and admired the vast collection of art that you can tell has been lovingly collected over the years. And who can forget the absolutely mouth watering breakfasts that Jeff made for us each morning! I would definitely recommend the Welsh Hills Inn to anyone who needs to stay in the area, or anyone who just needs a few nights away to relax and recharge. I know we wished we had stayed one more night and hope that we get the opportunity to return soon!…
So I thought dogs name was Ridley...I feel bad but grateful she didnt mind. She let me love on her anyway! My husband and I stayed one night. We knew the pool was private and not for public use so didnt think to bring attire for the hottub. We will next time!! For the properry I cant rave enough about every little attention to detail. We had the main floor bedroom with beautiful screened in porch just for us! The growth on the screen was perfect for privacy but the detail I noticed was someone has subtly trimmed some of the climbing plant so when seated in sunroom your eye level gets a great view of pool. That is thoughtful detail! The heavy crystal barware stays put while dining outdoors and no seam in the glass!! The flameless tall taper candles for our outdoor candlelit dinner ...oh my. The perfectly timed outdoor fire...Bobbi and Jeff and mastered the art of BnB hostess down to the tiniest detail. Our next visit will be for more than a single night.…
A well deserved ranking of top B&B within the U.S. Bobbie and Jeff are wonderful people and are always willing to go that extra step to make things awesome. The breakfasts are spectacular and fresh. The dogs are so well behaved too and make it as though you're right at home with them. We came for the 1st time 2 years ago for our anniversary and knew that we would be back every year for the same thing. It's something my wife and I look forward to as soon as we leave.
My husband and I stayed at the Inn last weekend for our 10th anniversary. It was everything we needed to getaway and relax for a long weekend. We stayed in the Brynmor Queen Luxe Suite, in the basement which was very quiet and cozy and provided extra privacy. The views from the porch are phenomenal, particularly with my morning coffee. The entire Inn is incredibly clean and so well cared for. My favorite part of the trip was waking up to coffee and breakfast prepared for us each morning. We also prebooked a dinner for 2, which was incredible - steak and lamb chops yum! We loved the nightly wine and cheese - could get used to that! All the food and drink served to us was delicious, and I’d go back for that alone! Thank you to Bobbi and Jeff for a memorable and relaxing weekend. We will be back :)…
Welsh Hills Inn is now one of our favorite places. Bobbi and Jeff, the owners, understand what their guests want and deliver on every detail. The inn and the grounds are impeccable in every way and Bobbi and Jeff are a pleasure.
We had the best time here at The Welsh Hills Inn and will definitely be back. Bobbie and Jeff were great to work with to accommodate everything we wanted. They were so sweet and kind and always available if you ever needed anything. They also have two sweet dogs that we just adored and they both greeted us immediately. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and it exceeded all of our expectations and more. As our last weekend before we welcome a new baby we wanted to just go somewhere relax and unwind and spend time together and this place let us do just that. It didn't even feel like we were close to Columbus or even in Ohio for that matter. The hills/views were amazing, how quiet and peaceful it was made it even better to just sit and relax on the porch. Definitely is a paradise away from home. The food was excellent, breakfast was great, our little candlelight dinner was everything and more, and we had a bonfire the last night we were there and it was so nice and relaxing. The massage therapist was also great and I left relaxed. From the house, our room, the food, views, and the hospitality it was a 10/10 visit and we will be back.…
This was our second time staying at the beautiful Welsh Hills Inn and it was just as magical as the first time. We needed a little getaway and we left recharged and already dreaming of the next time. The Inn nestled in the hills of Granville is a true gem in the middle of Ohio. We spent the day enjoying the warmer weather eating a tasty lunch in Granville and going for a wonderful spring nature hike. We arrived as soon as check in started with the intent of enjoying every moment on this beautiful property and in Bobbi and Jeff's home which is simply stunning. Bobbi greeted us and she made us immediately feel relaxed and so very welcomed. Our room was so comfortable - everything is meticulous and so well thought of to ensure you have everything you need and could desire. After we settled in we walked the beautiful grounds with our little side kick Wrigley (we always love seeing her and Ellie), lounged in the hammocks, read books, and talked while enjoying the complimentary wine and cheese board. Last time Jeff prepared an amazing dinner for us but this time we opted to have Bobbi pick up our meal from the Granville Inn. She also set a beautiful table for two and served our meal. I still think of that delicious bottle of red wine which we continued to enjoy wrapped in cozy blankets by a fire. We will definitely be back - we have enjoyed the Inn in the winter before, now in the spring and next time we will be back to take a dip in the pool. I already challenged my husband to a game of ping pong and darts. Thank you Bobbi and Jeff for being the BEST!…
My husband and I collect memories. This week we collected a perfect one we will treasure at The Welsh Hills Inn. The countryside is beautiful and the property of the Inn is spectacular! EVERY little touch, every amenity has thought and care behind it. Perfect! We stayed in the Brynmor Suite which was wonderful and very large! Loved the gas fireplace and living area which had plenty of room to sit and relax. The French doors led to the bathroom with a walk-in shower I loved! We loved looking at the art and antiques and browsing the books. This is true of the entire Inn. So much to see. This room is very quite and we slept the best we ever have away from home. The lovely bed and linens helped too. It is perfect. Bobbi and Jeff are the most excellent hosts. We appreciated both of them so much. From the start making us feel so comfortable , like friends who were sharing their home. The atmosphere is so relaxing and calm. Wrigley and Ellie are their fur babies who we loved. Added plus here. Jeff is a wonderful chef and breakfast each morning was such a treat! We loved sitting in the common area with the fire roaring, during wine and cheese hour in the evenings.. The porch has fire pits and plenty of seating Can't wait to go back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool and walking trails. Perfect! Thank you for our memory.…
It started in the parking lot. Wrigley (a dog) met us as we exited the car. She waited until we were set and then led us to a door, looking over her shoulder occasionally to make sure we didn't get lost. Once inside she turned us over Bobbi (the hostess). Bobbi was just starting a tour of the Inn for other recent arrivals so we joined them. As I looked around all I could think was "Wow! I get to stay here?" It is a wonderful house! Well kept, beautifully decorated. Everywhere you look are books and paintings. Beautiful grounds! The porch looking east with several rockers was sooo inviting! The lawn slopes away to a small stream. Very quiet and peaceful. We were shown the common areas, the pool (not open in mid-April) but a very pretty pool house that can act as a retreat and where they also give massages if you signed up for one. (recommended) Then Wrigley came and led us to our room! She stopped outside and waited for our permission to enter, which was given. The Berllan Glyn room was spacious and comfortable. Nicely appointed with several armchairs and tables, an armoire with tv and entertainment system. The walk-in shower was huge and the soaking tub looked inviting. Wrigley showed us the screened in sitting area that goes with the room then exited to the porch leaving us to unpack and unwind. Wrigley has chosen an exceptional host and hostess in Bobbi and Jeff Noe. I think Bobbi is telepathic, anticipating guests needs and requests: coffee available here; tea over here. Step out for a few minutes and when you return the bed's been made up, towels changed, shades adjusted. Wrigley would wait quietly nearby while we chatted with the other guests who all seemed very agreeable. Wine and cheese at six. Watching a sunrise. Chatting after breakfast. Trading tips on places to go, things to see, where to eat. Speaking of eating: Jeff prepares the breakfasts which are varied, balanced, well presented and really delicious. But don't try sneaking any scraps to Wrigley; she and Bobbi are working on keeping Wrigley trim. It was very quiet and restful. One afternoon as we sat reading in our room Wrigley came to visit and was invited in. She curled up on the rug and went sleep; not a great conversationalist, but friendly. Later Wrigley introduced us to her best friend Ellie, a very calm, mature Labrador and a sweetheart. Oh, yes. Bobbi was so nice, pleasant and helpful; an amazing hostess. Jeff also was pleasant talking with, on the occassions they unchained him from the stove. I can understand why Wrigley keeps them. I honestly can't think of a negative thing to say. We had an absolutely fabulous time. If you're considering booking stop reading now and do it. You won't be sorry. I want to go back! In fact before our second day was done we had made reservations to return later this year. If Wrigley will let us.…
