We stayed on a Sunday night and thoroughly enjoyed the lovely surroundings and little touches such as the quotes left on our pillows. Very comfy bed, good space in our room and lovely attention to historical details that made the stay a pleasure. Can't wait to come back!

With a family of 12 we had a wonderful stay at the George, in Cranbrook, a lovely small city in the south of Kent. Great diner, rooms and amazing breakfast. Our hosts were very helpful for the future planning of our trip through Kent. We recommend staying here while visiting the county or sissinghurst castle.

Only able to book a couple of days, as this was the only time that we could get away this year, due to running a small business. After a pleasant welcome, we were shown to the room that we had seen on the website. After a couple of minutes of being in the room, we noticed a constant noise coming... More

this is a good hotel and worth staying in. Our room was large, spotlessly clean with a good bathroom. We would recommend this hotel. The food was good although my salad was rather swamped in dressing. Also, the small carpark was full but I did find a free space in an overspill area. We would stay here again if we... More

A real touch of Merry Old England. Staff made our visit a delightful experience. The timber and plaster architecture and a room once occupied by Queen Elizabeth I, makes this hotel especially unique. It includes a restaurant and British style pub for visitor enjoyment.

Supposedly the best bedroom at the front but rather tired. Lighting awful. Footswitch on floor lamp not working together with two of the bedside light switches. Bathroom miserably lit. Adequate facilities but bath plug mechanism not working and we had to leave the bath full of water! Breakfast very ordinary - looked good on the menu but not matched in... More

The hotel itself is large, clean, easy to find, has good parking and a really good breakfast range. So far so good. What makes it fantastic is the exceptional level of service we experienced from the young buzzy staff. Kieran in particular absolutely made our stay. We felt we were asking him for things every five minutes as we were... More

Whilst we were on holiday we visited Blexley to see our Granddaughter who lives there. We went to the George for a light lunch & catch up. The service was first class, staff very friendly and efficient. We ordered a club sandwich with sides which I must say was one of the best we have ever had. The atmosphere was... More

Everyone at the hotel was so warm and friendly and could not do enough to make my parents stay a very happy and memorable one. One of the waitresses even took some photos of my parents cutting their anniversary cake, which she had printed out for them as a surprise, which are much treasured. A big thank you to the... More
