What a beautiful b&b so quirky and unusual and beautifully decorated. Received a wonderful welcome from Caroline and her husband and they were so helpful in sorting out some wine and beers for us after a long drive. The room was stunning and I totally fell in love with it! Breakfast was wonderful. So why not 5 stars? For us... More

Emma and Caroline welcome you with a friendly smile and daytime greeting to this lovely tearoom where all the food is locally sourced and extremely tasty. This venue maybe one of the best I have had the good fortune to visit in many a year and one that I hope to return to in the near future. I cannot speak... More

We had a lovely lunch here and will be back for sure. A little cozy and food well prepared and served. Toilets across the street are also very respectable so all in all great. We then went looking for the twins and had a lovely afternoon strolling around Biddenden. Try the all day breakfast - like your gran would cook!

So why not 5 stars? Because there was no proper shower in the bathroom and the headroom in my room was VERY limited. Dangerous in the dark in fact. But! It was superb. The house is ancient. I had the room under the eaves, hence the lack of headroom. Also explaining the lack of full shower. However, the room was... More

We stayed in the attic room of this amazingly beautiful B&B, with private bathroom. It was superb - quaint, pretty, gorgeous decor and attention to detail. If you want somewhere old, atmospheric and so very pretty, the Bakehouse is the place for you. Warm and comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, excellent breakfast in the tea room downstairs, and all the staff... More

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our breakfast. Perfect to walk to the Pub, and Restaurant along the street. The stairs to the Attic need the skills of a mountain goat, the lack of curtain in the bedroom and the need to bend over, approaching the bed do make it special !

My partner and I visited The Bakehouse for our anniversary in 2014 and we really enjoyed our stay, it is a perfect accompaniment to dining in The West House just up the road. The interior has a lovely rustic feel to it and is very quirky in a good way (beware the ceiling is quite low though). The room we... More

We stayed in an attic room for one night. It was perfect. Quaint and quirky but warm and welcoming. Our hosts were personable and easy going. The West House is two doors up, which makes the Bakehouse really well located (and only an hour or so drive from London). The breakfast was great. Recommended.

It would be easy to find fault in the Bakehouse, if that's what you're out to do: No real shower, low ceilings (ouch) and no straight wall whatsoever. But this would miss the point: This is a charming, nicely decorated historical building, and as such the room was really something special. It's not you typical B&B, but it doesn't assume... More

Caroline the owner was very helpful and amenable as I booked very last moment and had had to cancel her the week before, as the reason I was in the area had been delayed. The building is roughly 500 years old and the room we were staying in was in the attic of the place. The decor is quirky but... More
